Traxxas alternating motor Velineon 380, reg. VXL-3m

Traxxas's Velineon VXL-3m Brushless Controller is designed for all 1:26 RC Traxxas RC models. Quality software enables fine control over the entire speed range in sensorless design. The controller design is largely water resistant. Power supply 6 to 12 cells NiMH or 2 to 3 cells LiPol. Beginners will welcome the Beginner mode, which reduces controller performance to 50%. The controller has a Traxxas connector to connect to the battery and a 3.5 mm gold plated pin to connect to the motor. Switching on, programming and switching off the controller is done with one button. The controller status is shown by a two-color LED.

Traxxas's internal rotor brushless motor Velineon 380 is totally compatible with the 380 Series DC motors, yet outperforms these engines in terms of performance and durability. Motor life is due to the absence of a commutator due to the bearing life only. By placing the windings on the inside of the motor casing, these motors can be very well cooled by a radiator mounted on the exterior of the motor with a zinc oxide paste. Due to the high thermal inertia of the casing, these motors can be overloaded in contrast to the DC. The rotor is made of sintered neodymium magnet, which is factory-balanced with a drop of epoxy resin.
