UBEC 8A 2-3S is a switched DC power stabilizer; Power from the 2-3S LiPo battery, the input voltage drops to a level suitable for powering the receivers and on-board RC models, and stabilizes the output voltage at the set value (5.0 / 6.0 V). The UBEC load capacity is 8 A continuous, 15 A peak. It is also suitable for large helicopters, cars, boats or giant aircraft models.
- It uses an advanced high-efficiency DC desktops.
- 2 selectable output voltages (via a slider) suitable for all types of receivers, gyros, servos, etc.
- High current carrying capacity, continuous output current 8 A, peak output current up to 15 A.
- Short circuit protection at output.
- Metal cover electronics and ferrite ring on output cables to suppress electromagnetic radiation.
- Automatic cell count detection (S or 3S).
- Indication of charge status of the battery with 4 LEDs.
- LED status indication - The LED lights when the UBEC output voltage is normal.
- External switch for switching on / off the output.
- Two parallel output cables provide greater reliability, allow for a higher power supply for the receiver and reduce losses on the wires.
- Special accessories: Downstream DC converter with 0.7 V drop (from 6.0 V to 5.3 V).
Using UBEC
Connect the UBEC to the 2-3S LiPo battery output and connect the UBEC output cable connectors to the battery socket (or other available servo sockets) on the receiver.
Tip: Place a UBEC in the model at a distance of at least 5 cm from the receiver to reduce possible interference.
Descending DC 0.7 V converter
The downstream 0.7 V DC converter is used to connect servos that can not operate at 6V (including Futaba 9241, 9251, 9253, 9254, 9255, 9256, etc.)." The device will lower the supply voltage from 6.0V to 5.3V. If the UBEC output is set to 6V, connect the downward transducer between the receiver and the above servos. If you use servos that can operate at 6.0 V, a 0.7 V converter is not required.
