CV means that the joint is so-called homokinetic or homogeneous . The homokinetic joint allows the transmission of speed between the shafts at different angles while maintaining a constant angular velocity. That is, if the engine has a constant angular velocity, the wheel also has a constant angular velocity. Hence, the homokinetic joints are used in car axles.
