For lovers of fast driving and drifting, the manufacturer HPI comes with a replica of the Subaru Impreza . The construction of the model is designed to achieve the best possible driving characteristics during fast cornering. The model is powered by a powerful internal combustion engine, which gives the chassis the right dynamics and speed. The body including all stickers and wheels are an exact replica of the real car.
The model, like the original, is driven by all four wheels (4WD). The basis of the chassis is a chassis made of hard silver-anodized 3 mm thick duralumin, which ensures sufficient strength in bending and twisting. The chassis is supplemented with plastic thresholds on the sides, which minimize the space for dirt to enter. The upper part of the chassis, as well as the upper plate of the inter-axle differential, is made of orange anodized duralumin. Power is transmitted to the wheels via permanent gearing, planetary differentials and steel half-axles. The chassis is completely equipped with ball bearings. The wheels are independently suspended on the lower trapezoidal arms, which, like the suspensions, are made of plastic filled with glass fibers. Suspension and damping are taken care of by a quartet of oil shock absorbers with coil springs. The torsional stabilizers on the front and rear axle contribute to excellent driving characteristics. The rear axle and especially the shock absorbers are protected from flying sand and stones by plastic covers.
The RC box as well as the servo steering and servo throttle/brake are moisture resistant and the electronics are thus protected from splashing water.
A powerful Nitro Star G 3.0 combustion engine equipped with a pull starter was chosen to drive the model. With a bore of 16.8mm and a stroke of 13.6mm, the engine displacement is 3.1cc and provides 2.2PS at 31000rpm, which provides the model with sufficient dynamics. Control is provided by a steering wheel tri-king RC kit operating in the 2.4Ghz band.
The model is delivered as a set including the motor and the RC kit.
