The Turbo Bushmaster from the American company Extreme Flight, as well as other machines from the "Legacy Aviation" series, is intended for intermediate to advanced modelers; its flight characteristics are suitable for purely recreational flying (with small rudder deflections), but at the same time, in the hands of an experienced pilot, it is capable of suitably advanced and wild acrobatic turns (with large rudder deflections). The model is loosely based on the real Turbo Beaver, a well-known and popular short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft, with the designer allowing a number of modifications to create a model with a unique appearance and flight performance.
Sport semi-model of a Canadian light transport aircraft for propulsion with an XPWR60cc AC electric motor or a 60-70cc gasoline engine for advanced recreational pilots.
The fuselage of the model is a classic construction of plywood and balsa laser-cut parts with composite reinforcements with a removable laminate engine cover. Access to the propulsion battery and RC equipment is provided by a removable cover on the upper part of the fuselage in the cabin area. The engine is fixed in the rear assembly on a plywood box bed.
The two-piece wing with a semi-symmetrical profile (the halves slide from the side onto the carbon tube coupling) is also a classic all-balsa construction. Ailerons and flaps are controlled by 2 independent servos. The wing struts are fixed with screws.
The tail surfaces are lightweight all-balsa construction, the VOP is two-piece with the stabilizer halves slid onto the carbon tube. The elevator halves are controlled by servos stored in the horizontal stabilizer with short straight rods. The entire model is coated with ULTRACOTE iron-on foil (this is the brand name used in the USA for the well-known Oracover foils).
The chassis is a spur type with carbon main legs, lightweight wheels and a wire spur with a carbon bracket mated to the steering wheel.
In addition to the new coloring, the V2 version brings improvements in the form of the use of carbon-coated plywood on the exposed parts of the fuselage and a quick-release system for the wings, elevator, and the front of the cabin.
If you choose an electric drive, you will need an AC electric motor of size XPWR60cc with a 120 A speed controller powered by a 12S LiPo battery 5000 mAh with a load capacity of at least 40C.
At least a seven-channel computer RC set will do for controlling the model.
Servos that are fast and powerful in a standard size will do – e.g. Kavan GO-1081MG, Hitec HS-7950TH, D980TW, HSB-9381TH or Savöx SB-2290SG and one standard throttle servo.
Kit includes: iron-on foil covered fuselage, wing and tail surfaces, sprayed laminate engine cover, complete accessory kit, carbon undercarriage, spur, light wheels and instructions.
