engine cover, chassis and spurs including wheels, struts, engine bed, tank, lights,
tow bar, mounting accessories, multi-language manual in English, German,
French and Italian and instructions in Czech.

The opening image is illustrative, the kit includes a chassis. Mockup Hangar
9 XCub suspension chassis that is installed on the model is offered separately
as a recommended accessory.

Characteristics

Giant model of the popular American plane CubCrafters XCub with a wingspan
2.94m from Hangar 9, this time in blue design , is intended for more demanding
modelers. Excellent flight characteristics, great appearance, light and strong all-wood construction
with UltraCote® film coating. The model is suitable for an internal combustion engine with a volume of 50-70cc.
Accurate model dimensions and shapes of the model, authentic coloring and many details, solid
aluminum chassis with wheels, installed LED lighting .

The real XCub airplane from the American company Cub Crafters is an airplane of progressive construction
with higher performance in which carbon fiber components participate. The XCub was developed
in 2010-2016, certified in the USA in 2016, in Europe in 2017. The aircraft
is a strut high-wing aircraft with a two-seater closed cockpit accessible by side doors,
rigid aluminum sprung conventional landing gear and a towing engine. The aircraft is made
of welded CNC milled 4130 steel tubing and is covered with aviation fabric.
It is powered by a Lycoming O-360-C1 four-stroke 180 hp engine as standard. The runway
for takeoff and landing of the aircraft is only 52 meters!

Hangar 9® XCub 60cc ARF , is an officially licensed replica of the CubCrafters aircraft.
In close cooperation with the aviation company, factory drawings were used in the design of the model.
The result of the cooperation is an exact replica of the real machine. The model of classic wooden
construction is made of precise, laser-cut parts, thanks to which the model has a robust
but light construction. The original UltraCote® coating film in authentic
colors completes the great look of the model. The side door is openable and serves as
access to the electronics and batteries. The wing is two-part, with functional struts and lift
flaps. Flaps and ailerons are equipped with factory-installed composite hinges that are secured by a removable metal pin.

The kit contains all the necessary model accessories and a kit for mounting both the
internal combustion engine and the electric motor . Functional flaps help achieve
impressive performance for short STOL takeoff and landing and expand the flight envelope. You can
even install an optional shut-off mechanism for towing gliders. Modern
design, versatile functions and high performance make the XCub 60cc model an ideal
choice for pilots who want to fly a giant model in a short time.

Mock-up version of the model

The
Hangar 9 XCub 60cc is the first model of its kind to be officially licensed
by CubCrafters. The model construction is from the factory drawings, so the
outline is completely authentic with many details including wing struts and even working
3S LiPo compatible LED lighting.

Light wood construction

The all-wood construction is always a guarantee of a long model life. The exact dimensions
of the model are guaranteed by the manufacture of balsa and plywood, on CNC machines, from laser
cut parts. Thanks to this, the frame of the model is strong and light at the same time.

Functional flaps for STOL

The model has STOL short take-off and landing characteristics, which would not be possible if
effective flaps were not used. These are already installed on composite
hinges from the factory and ready to use.

Quick assembly at the airport

For quick assembly of the model, the split wing has quick-release struts that fold
for easy transport and storage. You can easily access electronics and batteries
through a magnetically secured hatch on the top of the fuselage or a side door on the side of the fuselage.

Gasoline or electric?

XCub 60cc is designed for a wide variety of different engines. A larger internal combustion engine can also be conveniently installed under the large _
motor cover. If you
want to tow a glider with the model or perform basic acrobatics, you will choose a higher
power, for recreational flying a lower power will suffice. A convenient modern AC electric drive saves you the trouble of starting the internal combustion engine, but it is necessary to consider the higher operating costs when powered by batteries.

Side opening door

Access to the inside of the hull is facilitated by a convenient side-opening half door, thanks to
which you can replace the battery. In the cockpit there is an instrument panel and a seat for
the pilot figure (not included in the package).

Note: The pictures show a model with a tuning suspension chassis, which
is not included in the package of the kit! However, it can be purchased as an optional accessory.

Accessories for normal operation

For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools
and a storage bag for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality
set of Allen screwdrivers 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set
6 pcs). For assembly, the Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set)
and for cutting the Modelcraft cutting knife with an A6 pad will certainly come in handy.

For quick repair of model airplanes z we recommend the fast curing 4 minute
Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective covers for accumulators

Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of
accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can
provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery
is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly
protected.
