Sports semi-model acrobatic aircraft for propulsion with a 30-40 cc gasoline engine or a 3-4 kW AC electric motor for experienced pilots to fly classic precise and extreme 3D acrobatics.
The fuselage of the model is a classic construction of plywood and balsa laser cut parts reinforced with Kevlar® and carbon with a removable laminate engine cover and a removable upper fuselage with a cabin for perfect access to the propulsion system and RC equipment. The engine is fixed in the rear assembly on a plywood box bed.
The two-piece wing with symmetrical profile (the halves slide from the side onto the carbon tube coupling and secure with screws) is also a classic construction with an all-balsa rigid skin. The wings with a large area are controlled by 2 independent servos. You can equip the ends of the wings with the supplied SFG winglets.
The tail surfaces are light all-balsa structures, the VOP is one-piece, glued to the fuselage. The elevator and rudder are controlled by a servo located in the tail part of the fuselage with a short straight rod.
The entire model is coated with ULTRACOTE® iron-on foil (this is the trade mark used in the USA for the well-known Oracover® foils).
The chassis is a spur type with carbon main legs, wheels with laminate covers and a wire spur with a carbon bracket mated to the turn signal.
For propulsion, you will need a 30-40 cc gasoline engine or an AC electric motor with a power of at least 3 kW with at least a 100 A speed regulator powered by an 8-12S LiPo battery 3300-4000 mAh with a load capacity of at least 40C.
At least a six-channel computer RC set is suitable for controlling the model - the possibility of precise setting of "paired" servos and programming of double and exponential deflections in the right size is essential for flying acrobatics - classic precise and extreme 3D.
Fast and powerful servos in a standard size will do - e.g. Hitec HS-7955TG, D954SW, etc.
