A model from the STOL category (from the English Short Take Off and Landing), capable of taking off and landing in a very small space, is capable of 3D acrobatics thanks to the large control surfaces and is an almost unlimited source of pilot entertainment. Also, thanks to the high-surface construction, it is also suitable for less experienced pilots with a suitable limitation of the size of the deviations.
The body of the model is made of EPP foam pressed into a negative mold. The space for the drive battery and receiver can be found under the removable cabin.
The two-part wing with a semi-symmetrical profile connected by a carbon tube is also made of EPP foam. The ailerons and slotted flaps are controlled by short straight rods with two pairs of servos mounted in the wing.
The chassis is two-wheeled with high-profile tires that provide very good cushioning during landings and take-offs on bumpy terrain. The spur wheel is controlled by the rudder servo.
All servos are digital with metal gears, sizes 19g (Ailerons and flaps) and 25g (Rudder and elevator). The fitted motor is a 5015/550kv outrunner with an 80A Hobbywing speed controller and a 5V/8A UBEC. Includes a 15x7" wooden propeller.
You will need at least a six-channel RC kit to control the model - as long as both aileron servos are connected to one channel of the receiver. If you want to maintain independent control of both ailerons, you will need at least a seven-channel RC kit.
As a drive battery, you will need a LiPo six-cell 22.2V 3000-4000mAh with a load capacity of at least 30C. The cable to the controller in the model is equipped with an XT90 connector ( #KAV36.145 ).
ARF set includes: EPP foam fuselage with engine installed, ESC and Vop and Sop servos, EPP wing with aileron and flap servos installed, EPP tail surfaces, wing coupling, 15" wooden propeller, set of screws and instructions.
