Traxxas TRX 2.5R IPS engine with traction starter

Higher class 2.5 cm3 engine for Traxxas cars. The TRX 2.5 R engine can be considered the successor to the TRX .15. The TRA4400 conversion kit is needed to upgrade your TRX .15 to TRX 2.5 R. The conversion kit includes an engine bed, a U-shaped exhaust flange, a silicone coupling between exhaust and silencer, a composite silencer, and a set of levers and linkages. The engine comes with two types of crankshafts and two types of crankcase covers.

Types of crankshafts

• IPS crankshaft - used in all models equipped with TRX 2.5 or TRX 2.5 R. This type of crankshaft can be recommended for all Traxxas cars. In addition, the IPS crankshaft has much better mechanical performance at considerably higher speeds than the Multi Shaft.
• Multi Shaft - used on some old Traxxas models, eg Nitro Vee, without the need to change the engine bed and the like.

Types of back lids

The motors are supplied with a pull starter that can be replaced with an EZ-Start or, if necessary, a closed rear lid. In the case of a closed rear lid, the engine is started with a starter box for RC cars, ie with a flywheel.
