Ultimate Engine MXZ "Team Edition" engine + Airmax air filter

The MXZ "Team Edition" engine with Airmax filter from Ultimate Racing. The "Team Edition" concept uses the same Ultimate engines that are sold in the market, but the engines are assembled directly at the factory, completely run-in and then thoroughly checked by the competition team to extract 100% of the power of the Ultimate engines.

There are many manufacturers that offer engine run-in on a test stand with propellers. The problem is that this method only works as a run-in. It is still necessary to continue to run the engine on the track.

Ultimate Racing goes one step further and offers customers the opportunity to purchase fully run-in and race-ready engines without the need for further running-in on the track, i.e. engines that can be used in the most demanding competitions as you receive them, straight from the box.

To ensure quality and that all "Team Edition" engines are run-in exactly the same, they have developed a fully monitored running-in counter where temperature, speed and running-in time are constantly monitored. The entire running-in process takes place with the engine perfectly lubricated to minimize load and wear on all parts, which significantly extends its service life.

During each of the running-in phases, the engine's drag torque is also monitored. This parameter helps them know when the engine break-in is complete, ensuring that all “Team Edition” engines are perfectly run-in and ready to race.

After the break-in process is complete, the engines are disassembled, inspected piece by piece, and reassembled by the competition team, ensuring that the highest quality product reaches customers.

This engine is manufactured by the prestigious Japanese brand O.S. Engines and features the following:

Cooling head
The MXZ engine is equipped with the same cooling head as its predecessors. This cooling head has a very low center of gravity and has been designed to focus most of the airflow directly on the glow plug. By cooling the glow plug, we achieve more stable carburation and idling.

Carburetor
The MXZ model is again equipped with a 21 J3 carburetor. Unlike the original OS carburetor, its high-speed needle holder has been redesigned to better cool the fuel flow to the carburetor, reducing carburetor temperature and making it more stable with great idle stability, better fuel economy and overall engine performance.

In addition, the carburetor slide uniball joint has also been modified with two stops instead of one. Thanks to this new modified design, you can easily adjust the angle of the uniball joint without having to disassemble the engine. This carburetor offers greater tuning accuracy, which is a very interesting advantage for experienced drivers.

Crankshaft
The MXZ comes with a 14mm crankshaft with teardrop-shaped inlet ports for better flow.

Bearings
The MXZ comes with an original OS steel bearing at the rear and a double-sealed Ultimate Racing steel bearing at the front.

Venturi insert
The MXZ comes with a 6.5mm Ultimate Racing FLOWMAX Venturi insert. The innovative design, which is longer than the standard O.S. insert and wider at the base, ensures that the bottom of the insert and the carburetor have exactly the same diameter. This new geometry improves dynamics and provides additional power, allowing the use of smaller cartridges without reducing power, and consequently reducing fuel consumption.

Head liner and piston
The head liner with three intake and one exhaust port guarantees low fuel consumption with very high, yet smooth and linear power. Both the liner and piston are made of high-strength aluminum, which increases their durability.

Airmax air filter
The AIRMAX concept is to achieve maximum air flow to the carburetor while respecting the external dimensions of the filter to remain compatible with most 1/8 off-road vehicles and bodies. This is achieved by using a short, large diameter, molded rubber connecting tube that accelerates airflow, and a larger surface area internal filter structure without compromising engine protection. The result is a noticeable increase in engine performance.

The rubber connecting tube is highly durable to prevent unwanted damage.

The filter comes with pre-lubricated single-layer foam and includes a filter cover with marked holes that can be used on rainy days.

The package includes 2 adjustable plastic brackets that are suitable for mounting on different models. One is used to mount higher or lower. The other is used to mount closer or further in a horizontal position. Both holders have adjustable holes that provide some freedom for easy installation.

The package includes 4 screws and 2 plastic straps for complete assembly of the filter and holders.
