PLATINUM motors of the 5230 series are high-performance brushless 28-pole electric motors with a rotating casing ("outrunner") with excellent electrical properties, sophisticated construction and top-quality manufacturing. Hardened steel shafts and high-quality bearings ensure a long service life, quality materials used to make the stator and rotor also guarantee excellent performance parameters with high efficiency. They are low-speed, high-torque engines that handle large-diameter propellers and climbs without the need for a gearbox.

PLATINUM 5230SL-220KV
PLATINUM 5220SL-220KV is an AC motor designed to drive models with a flight weight of up to 8000 g with power from a ten-cell or twelve-cell LiPo battery.

Motor mounting: The PLATINUM 5230SL-220KV is designed for both front and rear mounting. For front mounting behind the engine face, use four M4 screws that extend into the engine face max. 5 mm. Two squares of holes for fastening screws in the front of the engine are spaced regularly by 90° on a circle with a diameter of 30 or 44 mm. The engine bulkhead should be 8-10mm aircraft grade plywood. The rear mounting kit (mounting cross, rear mounting propeller carrier) is supplied with the engine.

Controller: When choosing a controller, be especially careful that it is a type designed to work with multi-pole motors (common controllers designed for 2-14 pole motors may not work correctly).
