AC motor 540XL

For extreme acceleration and speed, the model uses an extra large AC motor that is commonly installed in larger 1:8 scale models such as the Maxx RC model. Together with the reliable VXL-3S regulator, newly equipped with a fan, it creates an unbeatable drive combination.

Extreme Heavy Duty kit installed

The factory installed kit upgrades the exposed parts of the model for high durability. Individual parts are made from the most durable materials that Traxxas uses. Whether you're riding rough terrain or jumping on ski jumpers, the kit is designed to last.

All-terrain tires

The Stampede 4X4 VXL is equipped with giant 5.3" Sledgehammer tires that provide excellent ground clearance and give the model an aggressive stance. The open-block tread pattern sheds dirt for unmatched traction. The high-durability rubber compound is specially designed to resist tearing.

Modular design

The modular construction connects the front and rear parts of the chassis to the central chassis, into one solid platform. This advanced solution ideally distributes the impact energy and at the same time allows for easy servicing of the model. Within a minute you have access to all important components, model settings and service maintenance.

Durable chassis

The chassis of the model consists of a durable plastic tub, on which the front and rear axles fit. The controller with the motor and servo are on one side of the chassis and the battery is on the other. This solution achieves ideal weight distribution and a low center of gravity for perfect driving characteristics.

Powertrain

Extreme performance requires the most durable components. Therefore, the powertrain consists of a steel front wheel, a center differential for power distribution between the front and rear axles. Furthermore, the torque is transmitted via a central shaft made of extruded aluminum to the front and rear differentials and subsequently to the wheels via robust telescopic half-axles. All rotating parts are housed in quality encapsulated bearings. The differentials are equipped with metal gears for maximum durability.

Oil dampers

High-lift oil shocks use dual X-rings for perfect sealing and perfect running. Robust design combined with high oil volume can absorb even hard impacts in difficult terrain. You can tune the dampers to your liking by adjusting the springs and changing the viscosity of the oil.

Dual-bellcrank steering

The Dual-bellcrank steering system with two rotating turrets mounted on ball bearings ensures perfectly smooth operation in the most demanding conditions. The integrated cam-type servo-saver effectively absorbs impacts and protects the steering servo gears.

Long shrug

The long stroke of the shoulders dampens even sharp impacts and improves the controllability of the model. In every situation, you will have a precise and quick steering response. Adjustable oil shock absorbers are used on the chassis for endless fun.

Battery bed

The innovative bed holds the battery securely in place with a rotating partition. Changing the battery is therefore a matter of seconds and you do not have to loosen clips or tapes.

Side braces

Robust side NERF reinforcements protect the chassis from stones and other impacts. The special profile allows the body to be inserted for a safer and stronger attachment.

SledgeHammer tires

The model is equipped with 2.8" chrome wheels with SledgeHammer tires. The tuning tires are made of a durable rubber compound to withstand extreme performance. The aggressive pattern has maximum traction even in difficult terrain.

Automatic turning on the wheels

This exclusive Traxxas patented feature is activated remotely via the transmitter. Automatically, by suddenly adding gas and braking, the model gradually swings and turns back on its wheels.

The function is ineffective when using a fully charged 3S LiPo battery.

Servo steering

Digital Traxxas servo 2075 high-torque waterproof with DC motor and nylon gears has a torque of 9.0 kg.cm and a speed of 0.17 s/60°@ 6.0 V. For water resistance*, the servo box and the output 1000 edges are fitted with seals. Two ball bearings provide very smooth operation.

AC motor 540XL

The model is powered by a powerful 540XL 2400 rpm AC motor with a robust 5 mm shaft. Strong and temperature-resistant neodymium magnet, high-speed bearings and four-pole winding ensure smooth operation and long life. The metal housing of the motor effectively dissipates heat from the stator.

Electronic controller VXL-3S

Waterproof* electronic Traxxas alternating current controller Velineon VXL-3S V2 with three driving modes, support for modern high-capacity LiPo batteries and easy control with the EZ-Set™ button. The VXL-3S controller is equipped with a training mode that limits full throttle to 50%. Thanks to this, novice drivers or children can gradually familiarize themselves with the features of the model and prepare for the full power of the car. Thermal protection, gold-plated connectors, simple operation and intuitive signaling with a two-color LED diode.

VXL-3S controller modes

The cooler of the regulator can be supplemented with an optional fan (not included in the package).

Traxxas TQi RC kit with Bluetooth ready

Traxxas has prepared for you a completely new series of two-channel RC kits with Bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth module (sold separately) will allow you to connect the RC model with the clear graphic application Traxxas Link, which you can install for free on your smartphone.

The Traxxas Link app for Apple devices is available for free on the AppStore , the app for Google Android devices is free on GooglePlay .

The Traxxas Link App is a powerful application that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of your Traxxas RC model with stunning visualization and absolute accuracy of settings. Traxxas Link can display telemetry data that the model provides in real time, such as speed, rpm, temperature, battery voltage and model roll. (Telemetry provided varies by specific model type). You can share settings of RC models, you can create any number of profiles for a specific track or users, e.g. children. All in the app with the brilliant graphics that come naturally from Traxxas.

Telemetry options vary by model. It may be necessary to install telemetry sensors to obtain telemetry data. Compatible telemetry parts with this model can be found in the "Accessories - Telemetry" section. More information on telemetry installation here.

Traxxas TQi receiver

RC receiver Traxxas TQi 5 channel. TSM with telemetry for Traxxas TQi transmitters. Simple operation, pairing with a button. LED status indication. 3-axis MEMS sensors are integrated in the receiver for learning the position of the receiver.

The 5-channel receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connecting telemetry sensors RPM (revolutions) and V/T (voltage / temperature).

Furthermore, a telemetry expansion module can be connected to the 4-pin connector, into which you can connect up to 6 more sensors, including a very accurate GPS speed sensor.

Traxxas Stability Management

The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) stability system allows you to experience not only power, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speed, but also guarantees much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete or even ice and snow.

The receiver has a MEMS 3-axis gyro and an accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model on the order of 100 times per second and corrects the model's direction of travel by appropriate interventions in the steering of the front wheels. Traxxas TSM does not limit engine power - you have 100% control over engine power. Algorithms are tuned for each model separately. The level of assistance is set using the multi-function controller on the transmitter or possibly in the Traxxas Link application.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need bolt glue, good quality tire glue, silicone shock oil and a set of screwdrivers. We recommend an affordable set of tools for cars from our range.

The thread or head of the screw is dripped with screw glue, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving prevent the screw joint from loosening. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an adequate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it might be impossible to loosen a screw stuck like this!

Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the dampers of the model. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. So-called repair kits are supplied for these cases. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color.
