    Spektrum smart batteries respond to recent trends. Smart batteries containing electronics that ensure safe and especially easy to use. The integrated electronics in the battery constantly evaluate the voltage of the individual battery cells and the temperature of the entire battery, optimizing the charging of individual cells for the shortest possible charging time.

    • Thanks to the possibility of automatic discharge to the storage voltage, the battery life is significantly extended .
    • Optimum cell alignment means up to 25% less charge time .
    • It records the number of charge and discharge cycles. This gives you an overview of how many cycles have been completed.
    • It records dangerous conditions - too high and low cell voltage, high temperature.
    • When using Smart chargers, the optimum charging process is automatically set. In addition, it is not necessary to connect the service connector to the charger.
    • Full compatibility with conventional chargers is ensured. You can safely charge your smart battery with your charger.

    Easy and safe charging of the Smart Battery

    If you connect the Smart LiPo battery to the Smart charger, the charger reads all the necessary parameters (battery type, number of cells, capacity, charging current) directly from the battery. Charging has never been easier!

    New IC3 and IC5 connectors

    The new IC3 and IC5 connectors have a modern design with an emphasis on safety and simplicity . The contacts are made of gilded pins and cores (in case of IC3 connector with a diameter of 3.5 mm, in case of connector IC5 with a diameter of 5 mm). The connector is also equipped with a data conductor for communication with the charger. When using Smart chargers, it is not necessary to connect the balance connector. Connectors IC3, resp. IC5 is backward compatible with EC3 or EC3 connector. EC5.

    As already mentioned, connectors have been designed with an emphasis on safe and easy to use. The connectors cannot be reversed, the contacts and soldered connections are covered with a plastic cover.

    To charge the batteries with conventional chargers, the standard JST-XH service connector is routed from the battery.

    Automatically puts the battery in storage mode

    Long-term storage of the battery in a fully charged state degrades its properties - this is manifested by softening / inflation of the cells. Therefore, Spektrum Smart batteries contain a circuit that after a set time starts to slowly discharge the battery to the so-called storage voltage. The time is adjustable by means of chargers from 12 to 240 hours.

    This unique feature greatly extends battery life and ensures better performance over the life of the kit.
