The package includes a fully assembled AeroScout 2 RC airplane model with installed components: Hobbyzone AC motor 2306-2250, Avian AC controller 30A Smart Lite, 4 pcs Spektrum servo A390 8g and Spektrum receiver AR631 6CH AS3X/SAFE. The package also includes a Spektrum DXS DSMX transmitter in mode 2 (throttle on the left hand) supporting wireless teacher-student (it can be operated as a teacher transmitter when connected wirelessly), 4 pcs of AA alkaline batteries for the transmitter. Instructions in Czech, manual EN, DE, FR, IT. You only need a USB power source to power the charger to get it up and running.
Characteristics
The AeroScout 2 1.1m wingspan RC model airplane is an ideal model for learning to fly. High-wing pusher propeller, 3-wheel landing gear with large wheels and electronic stabilization minimize the risk of damage to the model on your first attempts. Electronics installed, you only need to refill the battery.
Another important condition of a good practice model is its resistance to damage. The propeller behind the trailing edge of the wing ensures perfect protection not only of the propeller itself, but also of the engine. The AeroScout S model is made of very durable EPO material, which is additionally reinforced with structural elements, so it withstands very well even the rough landings of beginners. Large wheels with a steerable bow leg make it easy to take off and land on a variety of surfaces, including grass in large parks, a playground or a meadow.
The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version includes a complete model with electronics and RC transmitter¨ Spektrum DXS, just add a LiPol battery with a charger and you can fly! What about when you learn to fly? The fun doesn't end, the model can do more than it seems. The powerful AC motor is more than enough for your first acrobatic stunts, including somersaults, twists, and even flying on your back. In addition, the light construction and low surface load of the wing guarantee a large range of flight speeds and incredible controllability, which even experienced pilots will appreciate.
Wondering how such a wide range of flight options is achieved? In addition to the correct design of the AeroScout S, the SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) electronic protection is a crucial element that helps prevent disorientation and crashes, so that almost anyone can learn to fly successfully. Beginner, Intermediate and Expert modes allow you to choose the level of stability and control according to your skills. In addition, the Panic function (activated by the button on the transmitter) will level the model into horizontal flight.
SAFE Select™ technology for beginners
AeroScout S has integrated intelligent SAFE™ (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, which maximizes flight safety and ensures a smooth flight. At the same time, it maintains full controllability of the model, so the pilot has a feeling of maximum safety. The latest technology for safe flight training not only ensures a calm and stable flight (AS3X), but also has a function to launch the model into horizontal flight at the push of a button. If the beginner gets into an unstable position, just press the button and the model will automatically go into a horizontal position. When the button is released, manual control is immediately restored.
One of three flight modes can be selected for control:
- The beginner has limited tilt with the elevator and ailerons - up, down and right, left, and when the levers are released into neutral, the model aligns in a horizontal position, this function can also be used during take-off and landing. The start is simple, just give full throttle and let the model take off from a suitable surface. When landing, just align the model in the right direction and then pull the throttle. In this flight mode, a mix of ailerons is set to rudder and elevator and throttle and elevator. SAFE does not allow the angle of inclination to be exceeded in a corner and when climbing (approx. 30°) and descending, while this function intervenes proportionally in the steering.
- Advanced is already allowed more tilt when steering, more freedom is given when steering the model and therefore faster turns with a smaller radius can be made. The model no longer aligns to a horizontal position when the levers are released into neutral. In this flight mode, the rudder mix is set to ailerons. Up to an angle of inclination of the model of approx. 50°, steering is natural and is not affected by the SAFE function. However, after the permitted tilt angle is exceeded, SAFE intervenes immediately, preventing further tilting and preventing further tilting. It is an advanced piloting lesson, where the natural steering is unlimited up to a certain tilt angle, but the model cannot be turned on its back. In case of emergency, the model can be completely stabilized in horizontal flight by turning the flight mode switch to position 0.
- Expert has no restrictions on flight positions and it is possible to perform acrobatics. There is no longer any mix or SAFE function and control is completely free.
Flexible battery choice
In the RTF version, you will receive an AeroScout 2 RC airplane model with a transmitter. It is up to you to choose a suitable LiPol battery, we recommend Spektrum Smart LiPo 11.1V 1300mAh 30C IC3 or Spektrum Smart LiPo 11.1V 2200mAh 30C IC3, and Spektrum charger Smart S155 G2 1x55W AC. The advantage is that after connecting the battery, the charger automatically adjusts optimally and starts charging the battery.
Telemetry option
The AeroScout S 2 1.1m is equipped with a Spektrum Smart Lite controller that can provide a range of real-time power system related telemetry data to compatible transmitters. As the approximate remaining flight battery power through several LEDs and audio alerts from the DXS transmitter included in the basic version of the RTF. It will also provide motor speed, current, total battery voltage and more for Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX20 and others).
Durable construction
The concept of the model with a push engine arrangement perfectly protects the propeller from damage during a careless landing and reduces the risk of its damage. The entire model is made in molds and foamed with super light and very stiff yet flexible EPO material. It withstands extreme loads during the training of a new pilot and can withstand such shocks, which, for example, mean severe destruction in the case of a wooden structure. If the material breaks, it is excellently glued with 2-component Epoxy and after a while you can be ready to take off again.
Simple and quick assembly
The Hobbyzone AeroScout RC airplane model comes in a box where the individual parts of the airplane are stored. All these parts are completely ready for final assembly and have the necessary electronics and drive installed, so just use a few screws and you'll have a finished model on your table in no time. Sturdy chassis with big wheels
The wide, stable three-wheel chassis with large wheel tires and steerable bow wheel will have fun! Takeoffs and landings will be much easier. Therefore, you can use the model on lower quality surfaces that the wheels will handle safely. With a 3-wheel chassis, it starts better because it is stable when starting, does not run off course and steers well.
Optional floats
Turn the AeroScout S 2 into a seaplane with an optional set of floats (sold separately). Installation takes only a few minutes and all the necessary material is included in the airplane and float kit.

USB source

Protective covers for accumulators
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators can, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for a long driving time.
