    Characteristics


    The Mamba Micro X2 regulator follows on from the previous successful Micro X series. The input power supply has been increased up to 4S LiPo (max 16.8 V) . Also added is basic information storage in LOGGING DATA and CRYO-DRIVE™ technology, which allows the controller to run cooler and more efficiently. Like its predecessor, it boasts a 2A high-end BEC (adjustable 5.5V - default, 7.5V), waterproof construction and sensor AC motor support.



    This is the ideal controller to upgrade your 2WD or 4WD RC model in 1:18 scale up to 1 kg, or 1:14 scale up to 1.3 kg.

    Construction

    The electronics of the controller are housed in a robust body and covered with waterproof epoxy. This system minimizes the risk of water ingress to the electronics and promotes efficient heat transfer. The regulator is also equipped with gold-plated connectors for connecting the motor, an LED indicator and a switch with a rubber cover (against the ingress of dirt). The power input cables are tinned, it depends on you which connector you have in the model.

    Cryo-Drive technology

    The biggest losses occur during switching on and off of the power transistors. Castle Creations has developed a brand new software that reduces the switching frequency of power transistors. The result is a radical reduction of heat losses in both the regulator and the motor itself, an increase in efficiency and, ultimately, an increase in driving time.




    On-the-fly settings

    By connecting the AUX cable to a free channel in the receiver, you can control one of the selected functions while driving. The specific function must be selected through the Castle Link program settings. Assignable functions are:




    • Throttle power limitation - you can limit the maximum engine power. An ideal choice for when the RC car is driven by children or less experienced drivers.
    • Reverse power limitation - you can limit the maximum power of the reverse.
    • Brake power limitation - you can use the transmitter to limit the maximum brake power - an ideal choice for racing with Crawlers
    • Brake force in neutral - with the help of a transmitter you can limit the brake force in neutral - an ideal choice for Crawlers
    • Turn off/on reverse
    • Limiting the maximum torque of the motor - if you need to prevent wheel slippage, you can reduce the maximum torque provided by the motor at any time during the race. Get an edge over your competitors!

    Programming options

    The Mamba XLX2 controller can be set via the transmitter (basic settings), Castle Link USB adapter, Castle field Link or B-Link Bluetooth.


    Only basic parameters can be set via the transmitter. Complete settings can be made via Castle Link USB adapter or Castle field Link. Before connecting the Castle Link USB, it is necessary to disconnect the AUX connector.

    LOG from driving and sound signaling

    The controller allows you to record the measured data. After the end of the race or during test drives, you can view this data on the computer and evaluate it. The controller also supports sound signaling. With the help of sound signals, you can easily recognize what is happening with the controller.

    Telemetry for transmitters

    By connecting the Telemetry Link Spektrum XBUS telemetry adapter (sold separately), you get complete controller telemetry that can be viewed on Spektrum transmitters. You get the same function for Futaba transmitters by purchasing the Telemetry Link Futaba S.BUS2 adapter. The function must be enabled via the Castle Link program.
