Tester AC motors SKY RC Motor Analyzer BMA-01 is an electronic device specifically designed for measuring parameters such as the number of revolutions per volt ( "KV"), engine speed, measuring current consumption, timing measurement (average values of the various phases), noise measurements and control functions of Hall sensors brushless motors. Measured values for AC motors with sensors and without sensors in real time displayed on dual line LCD display.
Tester is primarily designed for 2- and 6-pole motors in conventional arrangement ( "inrunner") used in models of RC cars with a maximum current consumption of 30 A. The measurement engines with different numbers of poles (2-36 poles), and motors with a rotating case ( "outrunner") is also possible, but the operation of the apparatus with certain types outrunner not be guaranteed.
Part of the tester is a mounting bracket for engine tested (inrunner). To power the tester you will need a two-car LiPo battery, which should have a capacity of at least 2000 mAh.
1. Checking AC motors with sensors ( "sensored") without sensors ( "sensorless")
In scan mode, the test engine motor fitted into a holder on the tester. Power cables and motor respectively. sensor cable plugs into the corresponding sockets on the tester. The software nasatví measured the number of poles of the motor. After starting the measurement device automatically ensures a soft start the motor at low speeds; You can then increase the engine speed to maximum 3D rotating wheels - gas level is indicated by a column of LEDs. Engine Analyzer measures:
- Power voltage
- The number of revolutions per volt (KV) with an accuracy of +/- 3%
- Engine speed
- Current consumption of the engine (up to 30 A)
2. Measurement Timing
Tester allows the measurement of the timing motor - provides both an average value for the whole engine, and the values for the sensors of the individual phases A, B and C. This allows you to precisely tune the timing (ideally should be the values for all three phases of the same).
3. Measurement of noise
Poorly manufactured / assembled engine, inferior or worn bearings, bent shaft, unbalanced rotor and other mechanical defects, can generate vibrations. Engine vibration tremble ambient air - these vibrations are sound waves that we perceive as sound engine.
The higher level of vibration, thereby negatively affected the performance of the engine. By measuring measuring noise of the engines built-in microphone, you can select a piece with the lowest vibration - ie. The lowest losses.
4. Testing Hall sensors (only for engines with sensors)
This mode is used to check the correct functioning of Hall sensors sensing the rotor position - it is critically important for proper engine management controller. With the tester eg. You will discover that some of the sensors is faulty or if there are power motor cables connected in the wrong order.
