Characteristics
The Losi Promoto-SM 1:4 RC motorcycle model delivers an authentic riding experience and detailed workmanship with a realistic look of Supermoto class road motorcycles. The Promoto-SM is especially suitable for riding on concrete, asphalt and other hard surfaces, so you can ride it almost anywhere, at home, in parks or parking lots. The main innovations, compared to the previous motocross-focused Promoto-MX model, include new Pro-Line Racing OE (Original Equipment) SM road tires mounted on smaller wheels, a more powerful front brake caliper and redesigned support side bars with wheels. The Promoto-SM is more agile, can lean more and offers better traction on hard surfaces.

The Promoto-SM remote control motorbike looks like a real motard. Distinctive scale details include hand guards, a shortened front fender and officially licensed FXR graphics with rider clothing. The scale appearance is combined with technically excellent realistic handling of the motorbike and the high performance of the brushless motor. All this thanks to a unique combination of mechanical and electronic technology, developed especially for Losi Promoto.
The Promoto-SM electronics include a powerful 2700 Kv brushless motor and a steel flywheel , which are mounted in the center of the frame. The motor spins the flywheel at over 22,000 rpm to create gyroscopic torque for a safe and stable ride. Meanwhile, the patented Spektrum MS6X technology takes the signal from the DX3PM transmitter and commands the Promoto motorcycle to lean and steer with unprecedented balance and finesse.

The mechanical design of the model is equally impressive. The Losi design team studied the suspension geometry of a real motorcycle to give the Promoto-SM the same ride characteristics on the road. The variable stiffness of the rear suspension provides excellent grip and prevents falling to the stop on a landing. The unique design of the front fork with an internal spring and shock absorber allows you to adjust the stiffness of the damping by changing the viscosity of the oil, as well as adjust the ground clearance. The innovative front and rear wheel braking system provides the motorcycle with impressive stopping power and cuts the stopping distance in half if only the rear brake was used.

NEW SUPPORT BARS WITH WHEELS
The position of the kickstand bar is improved to allow the bike to lean more than the previous MX motocross variant. New rubber wheels on bearings reduce noise and provide better traction on hard surfaces. Adjustable stops are included so you can adjust the bars to any surface. The wheels also help when laying the bike on its side, if the rear tire is on the ground, just add gas and you're back on the road!

PATENTED SPECTRUM MS6X TECHNOLOGY
The new Spektrum DX3PM transmitter and SR6300PM receiver combine with patented MS6X technology for a whole new type of steering. Promoto-SM drivers can use this technology to dynamically navigate corners at both high and low speeds. For more aggressive riding and extreme cornering angles, use the MS6X knob to increase the lean angle.

DRIVING MODES
The DX3PM transmitter has 3 driving modes, which you can switch between as you ride using the rocker switch.
- Dirt Mode - allows for sufficient lean without taking the throttle off. Helps when jumping obstacles and intuitively limits throttle output if the bike starts to lean too much.
- Street Mode - when riding on hard, flat surfaces, the electronics detect the front wheel lifting, which brings it back to the ground and ensures maximum acceleration.
- Wheelie Control Mode - allows you to keep the wheels on a smooth surface at high speed.

SMART TECHNOLOGY
The model is equipped with components with Spektrum Smart technology, which offers information about the battery and components. The SMART controller, receiver and battery are able to communicate with each other and transmit telemetry data. The DX3PM transmitter displays the charge status of the Smart battery in the model using an LED on the top. Optionally, you can display complete telemetry (RPM, speed, temperature and more) if you use a Spektrum transmitter with a display, such as the DX5C or DX5 Pro.

IMPROVED BRAKE CALIPER
An all-new floating piston caliper has been designed to apply more pressure to the brake pads. A new Metal Injection Molded (MIM) piston shaft is also installed on the bearings for smoother operation and a better seal against dust and dirt. All of this contributes to shorter stopping distances and more consistent braking.

FLYWHEEL UNIT
The gyroscopic moment to maintain the balance of the motorcycle is created by a rotating steel flywheel, with a speed of more than 22000 rpm. The flywheel unit with a 2700 Kv motor and electronics is mounted in the lowest part of the frame.

HANDLEBAR HEAD DAMPER
For perfect tuning and driving experience, a key element of the model is the chamber between the upper and lower head bearing, filled with a very thick oil with a viscosity of 500,000 cSt. This allows for excellent damping of the servo saver and reduces head vibrations.

SERVO-SAVER CONTROL
The stiff servo-saver springs with composite plates mounted on bearings ensure consistent steering and high servo protection. But that's not all, the servosaver also significantly improves stability when cornering, jumping and going over bumps.

COMPLETE ELECTRONICS
The model is packed with electronics - a Firma 85A Smart brushless controller, a powerful Firma 3652 3800kv brushless motor, a DSMR receiver, a S620PM ProMoto MG flywheel and steering servo unit, and a SX108PM ProMoto Micro MG front brake. Everything is installed and ready to go.

NARROW CHASSIS
In order to create the right scale model look for the slim motorcycle, the electronics and battery had to fit into a compact, narrow chassis. Despite the cramped space in the chassis, a standard 2S LiPo 5000 mAh battery can be placed in the battery box in the rider's seat. A LiPo battery with an IC5 or EC5 connector must be used.

REALISTIC RIDER FIGURE
The rider figure is realistically crafted, including boots, helmet, gloves and all other equipment. Unlike the others, the rider figure is made of rubberized plastic with an internal foam insert. This composition ensures high durability of the rider, which is not only strong, but also sufficiently flexible upon impact.

EXHIBITION AND STARTING STAND
The included maintenance and display stand is modeled after the real thing and features matching graphics. The package also includes a starting stand that holds the entire bike upright at the start, pit-style. After spinning the flywheel, you can hit the track.

REALISTIC DETAILS
The model is detailed down to the last details, such as the brake and clutch lever, cables, brakes, exhaust, colored fairing, seat, model wheels, front wheel brake and much more, which is sure to impress you. The Promoto-SM also includes hand guards, which are used on full-size supermoto bikes, to protect the brake and clutch levers in the event of a fall.

REAR FENDER
A regular, fixed rear fender wouldn't last long on the model, so the Promoto-SM has a folding rear fender with elastomer suspension. This allows it to tilt back when riding on the rear wheel, and the bike rests on the durable nylon rear bumper underneath.

FRONT FORK DESIGN
The front fork is stiff during normal riding, but in the event of an impact, it compresses to safely absorb energy. This protects the front fork and other components from bending and damage.

SLIDING PLATES AND AIR HOLES
Composite skid plates line the front and bottom of the Promoto-SM chassis. They offer impact protection, helping to protect the electronics mounted inside. The vents on each side of the wheel are closed, but can be opened to provide cooling air flow when the air temperature gets too high.

ALUMINUM PLATE CHASSIS
The dual aluminum plates of the basic chassis structure protect all the electronics and give the Promoto-SM a realistically slim look. They also provide the frame with the necessary rigidity and durability.

FRONT FORK
The Promoto-SM front fork has a new modern design with an internal spring and shock absorber. The front fork tubes are designed to work similarly to regular RC shock absorbers, they can be tuned by changing the viscosity of the oil. Using counter-wound springs, the spacers can also be used to adjust the ride height. And perhaps most importantly, they look amazing – just like the real thing!

REAR SUSPENSION
Like big bikes, the Promoto-SM has a rear suspension with increasing stiffness. The suspension is soft around maximum ground clearance for smooth handling and excellent grip. The suspension becomes increasingly stiff on larger bumps to prevent the rear wheel from going all the way. Combined with oil-filled shock absorbers, the RC motorcycle is ready to ride.

POWERFUL AC DRIVE
The Promoto-SM is equipped with a high-performance drive system with a 4-pole 3652 3800 kv AC motor with an 85 A regulator. This ensures high torque, brutal acceleration and speeds of up to 65 km/h.

CORRECT HEAD ANGLE
After months of testing, the Promoto product development team found the best head tube angle setting of 62.4° for the best ride balance.

RACING SLIP CLUTCH
Due to the high power of the engine, a dual-plate slipper clutch, similar to that used in racing cars, is used. The clutch protects the drivetrain without limiting the performance of the motorcycle.

FUNCTIONAL FRONT BRAKE
The bike handles rear braking via the drivetrain, but as with 1:1 bikes, it is mostly stopped by the front brake. To slow down the Promoto-SM, a steel disc front brake is used, with brake pads controlled by a caliper via a servo via a bowden cable. This cuts the bike's stopping distance in half.

REALISTIC CHAIN DRIVE
Steel links and 70 roller pins wrap around a 10-tooth steel drive sprocket and a 36-tooth aluminum rear hub sprocket. No matter the conditions, the chain drive will power the rear tire efficiently and reliably.

Accessories for normal operation
For normal operation of RC models you need tire glue, screw glue, a tool kit and silicone oil for shock absorbers. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range.
Tire glue is used to glue tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon and at the same time the glue is flexible after hardening. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer - see recommended accessories.
Occasionally, it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, only slight silicone oil leaks occur along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is poor, the oil leak can be large. Repair kits or individual parts are available for these cases. From our range of silicone oils, we recommend TLR (Team Losi Racing) silicone oils, see recommended accessories.
Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into metal materials (e.g. screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.

Protective covers for batteries
Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for long driving times. On the other hand, LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage.
