Enduro Ecto Portal Trail Truck RTR
PERFORMANCE KIT BUILT TO LAST. When you hit the trail, you want to do it with power and confidence. That's why we bring you the Enduro Ecto Portal RTR Trail Truck model!
The Ecto Portal RTR model features new portal axles with high ground clearance. These new gantry axles feature all metal gears, ball bearings and a new larger pocket for a more durable inner input bearing. With almost an inch more clearance than standard straight axles, the portals are a perfect fit for the Enduro range.
At the heart of the Enduro Ecto Portal RTR is the revolutionary Stealth(r) X transmission. Although it looks like a conventional transmission on the outside, it's far from conventional on the inside. The Stealth(r) X transmission is characterized by the ability to set the gear ratio of the rear drive independently of the front drive in three levels: in the standard setting it sends 5.7% higher revolutions to the front axle, optionally it is possible to install gears for an 11.83% increase in the revolutions of the front wheels (part of RTR), or for identical 1:1 front and rear revolutions (available separately).
Three-piece telescopic driveshafts with an extruded aluminum center section, universal front half-axles and hardened steel ring and pinion gears take care of power transmission to the tires. With the Enduro drivetrain, reliable power transfer will not be a problem.
As with other Enduro chassis, the steering lines have been moved from the normal behind the axle (BTA) location. This element significantly improves the approach angle and ground clearance of the front axle, so it is much better handled in difficult terrain.
The Enduro Trail Truck model is ready for adventure right out of the box and is equipped with powerful electronics. The exceptionally smooth and powerful 14-speed 5-slot DC motor is combined with a 2-in-1 unit integrating an electronic speed controller and a receiver with a built-in LED controller. Controlling this beast on the go is provided by a 4-channel 2.4GHz radio and a high-torque Reedy Power metal-geared servo.
Features of the chassis
- PORTAL AXLES: Ground clearance is essential when tackling challenging terrain. That's why the Enduro Ecto Portal RTR features all-new portal axles with high ground clearance. With nearly an inch more axle center ground clearance than standard straight axles, overcoming challenging obstacles is a breeze. To ensure maximum reliability, not only metal gears were used, but also six screws that firmly hold the gantry gearboxes. So many bolts means a stronger gantry box and less chance of the gears coming loose under heavy loads.
- BTA STEERING AND ALUMINUM STEERING LEVERS: Rear-axle steering provides better approach angles, more clearance and a cleaner look. Bolt-on aluminum steering plates allow the user more adjustment, strength and future adjustment.
- INTEGRATED REEL SERVO BRACKET: Fixing the reel directly to the chassis is the strongest and most reliable place on any trail machine. Positioned next to the power steering ensures overall chassis balance and weight distribution.
- THREADED ALUMINUM MUFFLER BODIES: These oil-filled threaded aluminum mufflers come with plastic collars and breather caps for easy tuning. They are ideal for maintaining chassis stability even in the most demanding terrain.
- REEDY POWER CRAWLER MOTOR: Reedy Power's new 5-slot 14-turn DC crawler motor provides ample torque with a smooth power flow. This enables slow and precise acceleration while maintaining consistent performance over rough terrain and obstacles.
- 2-in-1 controller/receiver unit: The Ecto Portal RTR is equipped with a DC electronic speed controller (ESC) and a 2-in-1 receiver with a built-in LED lighting controller.
- Optional Gearing: If you desire more gearing, we also offer an optional Factory Team 12/23 gear set (sold separately) with approximately 36% underdrive.
- It includes the proven Stealth(r) X transmission with the ability to adjust the rear drive ratio. In the box, you get the standard gear options of 5.7% and 11.83%. Coupled with brand new gantry axles with zero gearing, this is the optimal configuration for the average crawler. If you want even more rear gearing, an optional 12/23 tooth gear kit (#42372) is available separately for an additional 36% underdrive.
