The CRX2 has all the advantages and functions of a modern expedition special. It is now available in an RTR version with a painted Lexan body with a long cab. The headlights are functional (including LEDs)!
In developing the CRX2, Hobbytech started from scratch and designed a completely new and different product from its iconic CRX model. He made many changes based on feedback from users he met at modeling events and exhibitions.
The wheelbase of the CRX2 RTR is 313 mm, but it can be adjusted to choose from 4 sizes (305, 313, 317 and 324 mm). The axles are much more realistic and now have reinforced universal axles.
The new steering knuckles provide a 0° Ackerman steering angle. When cornering, the wheels remain parallel, which significantly improves the steering angle.
To avoid the Torque Twist effect (lifting the wheels during acceleration), the new gearbox features counter-rotating central drive shafts. This makes driving the CRX2 much more stable and smooth.
The CRX2 RTR is equipped with 4 Wolf Shocks. These realistic shock absorbers with internal springs can be set in droop or semi-droop mode.
For even more realism, the CRX2 RTR comes with 106/36mm Climber tires. Designed by Hobbytech, this tire ensures perfect traction in a variety of terrains.
Other significant modifications to the CRX2 include new suspension lines, a multi-position battery holder and a new CMS plate (for mounting the steering servo to the chassis).
In terms of electronics, this version of the RTR is equipped with a 21kg waterproof steering servo, KN-BRUSH40-CRAWBT governor, 35T DC motor and a Konect KT3X radio kit.
