Smart technology offers a perfect overview of the state of your drive unit, you have information about current, temperature, voltage and cells of the Smart battery, engine speed, etc. through real-time telemetry. And without additional sensors! Smart technology ensures that all of your model's electronics work together seamlessly for maximum efficiency and performance. The Smart system consists of a compatible Spektrum transmitter, a Smart receiver, a Smart controller and a smart battery.

Telemetry information is transmitted via the data wire. So you no longer need any sensors or modules, everything simply goes together. The information will be displayed on the transmitter display (it is necessary to have a Spektrum 2nd generation transmitter with current firmware (Spektrum DX5C, DX5R, DX5 Pro, DX6R).

Data transfer over one wire

An amazing innovation is the very simple connection, which is a key issue especially for RC car models. Data transfer from the Smart battery to the controller is via one data wire, which is part of the IC3/IC5 connector. Data is transmitted to the receiver via the SRXL2 protocol. Of course, Spektrum Firma controllers are also backward compatible with the classic PWM signal, so you can operate the controller on the classic PWM output, but without transmitting telemetry data.

Waterproof construction*

The electronics of Spektrum Firma controllers for RC car models are completely embedded in a special potting material that prevents moisture or dirt from entering the electronics. The regulator is switched on and adjusted with the buttons that are under the rubber cover.

IC3/EC3 connector compatibility

The controllers are equipped with battery connectors of the IC3 series. When used with a Spektrum Smart battery equipped with an IC3 or IC5 connector, the controller can receive and transmit battery telemetry data. EC3 connectors are backward compatible with IC3 connectors, but you will lose the ability to load data from the accumulator.

Wide programming options

Thanks to many adjustable parameters, you can adjust the behavior of the controller according to your requirements. Spektrum Firma controllers can be programmed in the following ways:

• Using the SET button on the controller.
  
• Using a programming card (order no. SPMXCA200).
  
• Using a Spektrum 2nd generation transmitter with a display (it is necessary to have sufficiently new firmware in the transmitter and to have a controller connected to the receiver that supports the Spektrum SRXL2 protocol).
  
• Using a computer and the Spektrum Smart Link app (the controller connects to the computer via the SPMXCA200 programming card. The app also allows you to update the controller's firmware.

DC motor

The motor has a precision design with encapsulated ball bearings and replaceable brushes. The brushes are already shaped from the factory. For advanced users, there is an option to change the engine timing settings.

Quality processing

The rotor is precisely dynamically balanced on both sides, thanks to which the motor has excellent vibration-free operation. Thanks to minimal vibrations, the bearings are less stressed and have a long service life.
