The Fiat 131 Abarth was built on the basis of a two-door sedan from Fiat. The development carried out on it by Abarth brought a number of modifications and improvements such as the use of a lighter chassis, larger fenders, new air intakes on the hood and on the sides to optimize mechanical cooling. As a drive unit, it received a four-cylinder longitudinally mounted engine with a light alloy head and 4 valves per cylinder. The Fiat 131 Abarth was produced from 1976 and competed in the World Rally Championship, winning three Constructors' Cups, one FIA Drivers' Cup and one Drivers' title. It participated in international competitions until 1982, when it was replaced by Lancia cars. Some of his body color renderings, combined with the typical sponsors of the time, have become iconic in the history of rally car competitions.
