The E-flite Super Timber 1.7m is equipped with a long list of "super" details that make it the richest and most capable Timber aircraft model to date! Starting with Tundra wheels with inflatable tires and unique beadlock wheels mounted on a rugged, shock-absorbing articulated chassis that is angled forward to prevent tipping. The landing gear provides maximum durability and STOL capabilities when flying over almost any terrain! Optional slots snap into place without the use of glue, then can be removed and reinstalled in seconds. All the LED lights you're used to are here, along with additional position and landing lights for better visibility. The elevator halves snap into place, plus the plug-in wing panels with hands-free servo connection are secured by an innovative wing lock mechanism, so no fasteners or tools are required to install/remove them. There's even a custom-designed fuse in the fuselage that holds the wing clutch tube so you'll never forget it when the wing is removed for more convenient storage and transport! Digital servos with metal gears provide precise and reliable control of the large rudders, including flaps that can move in both directions for additional features such as optional full-span ailerons.
The specially tuned AC motor is matched with the exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart Lite 85A controller, which can provide a range of real-time power system telemetry data with both SMART and regular LiPol batteries, via compatible receivers (including the AR637TA installed in the BNF® Basic version) and Spektrum-equipped transmitters AirWare™. The BNF® Basic version is equipped with an AR637TA receiver that provides full range telemetry data in real time, including total battery voltage, controller temperature and more – plus motor/thrust reverse for dedicated ground control and other options – along with the benefit of AS3X® 3-axis stabilization and optional SAFE® Select technology. The Super Timber 1.7m also features a large cover on the top of the hull for faster and easier battery changes with a quick-release, multi-position battery mounting tray that fits most 4S to 6S 3200-5000mAh batteries. There is even an option to install floats (sold separately EFLA550) so you can fly from ponds and lakes! All these super details and features add up to make this model the ultimate STOL, sport and even aerobatic model for a wide variety of pilots.
Exclusive technology
E-flite Super Timber features exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to eliminate the effects of wind and turbulence, providing a locked-in feel that makes you feel like you're flying in a much larger aircraft. Optional use of SAFE Select offers pitch and roll limits and automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off with the flip of a switch! And if you don't want to activate the SAFE Select functions, pair the receiver in the normal way and only the AS3X 3-axis stabilization will be active.
SMART technology
Both the Super Timber 1.7m PNP and BNF Basic versions are equipped with the exclusive Spektrum Avian 85A Smart Lite controller, which can provide a range of real-time power system related telemetry data including total battery voltage, motor speed, current draw. and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – via compatible receivers (including AR637TA installed in BNF Basic version) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 up to 20 and more), during the flight. It also features an optional engine/thrust reverser that offers special ground handling and other options.
Powerful drive unit
The installed Spektrum AC motor is compatible with 4S to 6S LiPol batteries and offers a wide range of performance - from sport flying and basic aerobatics with 4S batteries to hovering and unlimited vertical performance with 6S batteries! A practical top-mounted and magnetically secured cover and a quick-release, multi-position battery holder make it easy to install and remove common 3200-5000 mAh batteries.
Multi-purpose and universal
Double beveled rudder edges allow all control surface rudders to be deflected to large angles for superior handling and aerobatic capabilities. Additionally, the flaps can move in both directions for optional use of ailerons across the entire wing span for even more aggressive capabilities. Or for minor deviations, the controls can be smooth and obedient, so you can fly as calmly or wildly as you like!
Super STOL (short take off and landing)
The wing design has a larger span and area than the Timber X 1.2m and Turbo 1.5m models, plus it has dropped wingtips and can be fitted with the included optional leading edge slots for slow flight and STOL performance. The slots snap into place without the use of glue or tools and can be easily removed and reinstalled in seconds! These features, along with the lightweight construction, large flaps and high-performance AC motor, allow it to jump into the air or hover down and land just a few meters away.
Super versatile equipment
From thick grass to gravel paths and dirt roads - even lakes and ponds - you can easily take off from these and many other surfaces with the Super Timber 1.7m model. The durable, articulated and shock-absorbing chassis is tilted forward to prevent tipping over! It also features inflatable tundra-style rubber tires (including an air pump) mounted on unique beadlock wheels to better absorb the bumps of rough surfaces and not-so-great landings. Also included is accessories for mounting an optional float kit (EFLA550, sold separately) that includes a water rudder for superior steering control. Whichever landing gear you choose to fly, they are easy to install and can be swapped out in minutes!

Super durable
A composite-reinforced hollow-core construction with EPO material provides a lightweight yet durable model aircraft airframe. The installed digital servos with metal gears are accurate, durable and reliable. In the unfortunate event that you damage any part of the airframe and are unable to repair it, there are a number of replacement parts available.
Super LED lighting
Like most other Timber models, the Super Timber has realistic-looking LED landing, navigation and strobe lights that are factory-installed and powered by a flight battery. It even has additional position and landing lights for better visibility!
Super mounting features
Innovative and new is the assembly system, which uses the locking of the wing and the elevator, without the need to use screws. Assembly or disassembly is a matter of seconds. Due to the size of the model, it is very necessary to remove the wing during transport. This is secured by fuses and the servo connectors are in the holders, so you don't have to worry about pushing the connectors.

Accessories for normal operation
For the normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) and Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 pad for cutting will certainly come in handy for assembly.
For quick repair of model airplanes, we recommend the fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g
Protective covers for accumulators
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity.
