Characteristics
The remote-controlled RC model of the Draco aircraft is the only officially licensed model. This incredibly mock-up aircraft is a replica of a real Bush- type aircraft (a "wilderness plane" with unmodified landing pads), designed by Mike Patey. Draco with a span of 2 meters is one of the most modern and most detailed model and also packed with features.
In addition to its design precisely shaped from a light and durable EPO material with a surface treatment applied during production, it also has a number of extrascale scale detail details, such as antennas, steps, winglets, sprung chassis with King shock absorbers, flaps and much more. Clear windows allow a view of the cockpit with the pilot and the backlit instrument panel. The model has a total of 17 LEDs, which allow 7 modes of lighting the model (constant lighting, stroboscopic, etc.). Large Tundra-style tires perfectly overcome unevenness, while the shock absorbers absorb them. The steerable rear spur provides better handling when driving. To reverse or shorten the travel on landing, it is also possible to optionally set the engine reverse (this function is only available with a 7-channel transmitter).
Installed servos with metal gears provide agile and precise control of the model. A high-performance AC motor drives a four-blade propeller. The motor is controlled by a top controller Spektrum Smart Avian 100A and together with the AR637TA Smart receiver they provide complete telemetry (Smart battery voltage, current, controller temperature, speed, ..) for Spektrum transmitters. The model can be powered by a 4S - 6S LiPo 4000 - 7000 mAh battery. To display telemetry and use Smart functions, the model must be powered by a Spektrum Smart battery. Despite its larger size and advanced features, the model is ready to fly in a very short time. No tools are required for pre-flight assembly, the two-piece wings are secured with quarter-turn wing screws.
Thanks to the electronic flight stabilization systems AS3X and SAFE Select, the model is also designed for less experienced pilots. Thanks to its great performance, perfect maneuverability and unbeatable STOL, even experienced pilots will fully enjoy it and appreciate its quality.
Electronic stabilization
DRACO 2.0m is equipped with exclusive Spektrum ™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. The AS3X works behind the scenes to eliminate the effects of wind and turbulence. Optionally, the SAFE Select function can be activated, which limits the tilt of the model in flight, and when the cross controls return to neutral, the model is automatically put into horizontal flight. SAFE Select can be assigned to a switch and activated only when desired. If you do not want to use SAFE Select at all, you simply pair the receiver without this function according to the instructions and only AS3X will be active.
Smart technology
Spektrum Smart technology offers more information about the model, telemetry transmission, easier operation and battery care. All SMART components, including batteries, are able to communicate with each other and transmit in real time telemetry / b> To display telemetry (engine speed, current, battery voltage and more) it is necessary to have a Spektrum transmitter with Air Ware function (DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2 / G3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX20 and other transmitters). When using the Spektrum Smart battery, it will also have the voltage of individual cells, temperature, ...
Optionally, a switch can be set with a 7-channel transmitter to activate engine reverse. You can use this with the BUSH model, for taxiing or shortening the travel during landing.
Powerful AC drive
The installed Spektrum ™ Avian ™ 100 A Smart controller and powerful AC motor, together with a powerful four-bladed propeller, allow the use of a wide range of batteries for the versatile flight of the model. Install a 4S LiPo battery for slower smooth flying, or a 6S LiPo battery for maximum vertical performance. You can install a 4,000 mAh battery to keep the weight and load of the wing low, a 5,000 mAh battery for a great balance between power and maneuverability, or up to 7,000 mAh to achieve a long flight of up to 10-15 minutes .
Detailed processing
The DRACO 2.0m model contains a lot of Extra-Scale details, such as precisely shaped wings, cockpit steps, antennas, engine exhausts and more. Clear windows and a detailed cockpit with a backlit instrument panel and a pilot figure contribute to an incredibly realistic look. At the factory, precisely applied paint and decals will ensure that you will be justifiably proud of this model .
Suspended chassis
The motto of the model is its completely sprung chassis with a controlled rear spur and functional mock-up processing. Licensed KING shock absorbers safely absorb shocks. Large Tundra-style tires overcome bumpy terrain. The controlled rear spur improves driving control and if you activate engine reverse, the model is agile and agile on the ground .
LED lighting
A total of 17 LEDs are installed in the model for maximum authenticity. The lighting has its own control unit. It is controlled by the fifth channel and if you assign it to the rotary switch on the transmitter, you will have 7 remote controlled lighting modes. The modes offer options from permanent lighting, through stroboscopic to various lighting variants of individual LEDs.
Construction
The construction with a fully shaped EPO material allows you to replicate the complex shapes and details of a real model, while maintaining low weight, rigidity and durability. This gives the model excellent flight capabilities, which are supported by fast servos with metal gears.
Quick model preparation
No tools are required to build the model before the flight. Just put the two-part wings into place (the servo and lighting connectors will fit themselves - it is not necessary to connect it manually) and secure them with quarter-turn wing screws .
AS3X ™ stabilization
The Spektrum receiver is equipped with AS3X technology, which helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a triaxial MEMS gyro and an accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization, the control of the model is simplified, eg in windy weather. The model reacts similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm without maintaining its full controllability. AS3X brings more driving confidence.
SAFE Select technology ™ for beginners
Thanks to the SAFE Select technology used, even a less experienced pilot can control the model . The SAFE system prevents the incline from being exceeded when cornering and also limits ascents and descents. By simply releasing the control levers of the controller, the model returns to level flight. These features will be especially appreciated by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident in driving models.
As the name SAFE Select suggests, this is an optional feature - it's up to you whether you want to use or disable SAFE technology. The pairing method sets whether the SAFE function is to be switched on or off. It is also possible to switch the SAFE function on or off using the free channel of the transmitter.
Advantages of the SAFE Select ™ function:
- It limits the maximum inclinations of the model and thus prevents the model from moving into the corkscrew.
- It automatically puts the model into horizontal flight when the transmitter control levers are released
- Using the free channel, the SAFE system can be switched on or off during flight.

Accessories for normal operation
For normal operation of flying RC models, you need suitable adhesives, a set of tools and a case for storing LiPol batteries. From our range, we recommend a quality set of 1.5 / 2.0 / 2.5 / 3.0mm Allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) and a Modelcraft cutting knife with an A6 washer will certainly be suitable for assembly.
For quick repair of aircraft models, we recommend a fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy adhesive. From our offer we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g
Protective covers for batteries
Protective covers are designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is prone to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
