Information about the original:

Semi-tracked vehicle Sd.Kfz. 250 was used extensively by German mechanized units during World War II. It was based on the technical basis of the Sd.Kfz.10 artillery tractor and was intended to serve as a flexible and reliable solution for integrating the movement of infantry and armored units. It was armed with either one or two 7.92mm MG34 machine guns and could transport a four-man infantry squad to the battlefield with a high level of protection. Its operational reliability led to the development of many variants, one of which was the 250/3 Leichter Funkpanzerwagen (light armored radio link vehicle), used as a nerve center to mediate radio links between forward units, artillery and air support. A notable version was also the "Greif", which was used by Erwin Rommel in North Africa as a fully advanced command post that could be in close contact with frontline units.
