Original information:
The T-34 was one of the most famous tanks made during World War II, in which it was the mainstay of the Soviet army. One of the key innovations introduced by the new machine was the sloping front armor, which guaranteed the crew a higher degree of protection in direct impact. In addition, the tank was equipped with wide belts, thanks to which it moved well in all types of terrain, including mud and snow. The first version, which was armed with a 76mm cannon with a short barrel, gained an immediate advantage over the most common German tanks of this period, such as the Panzer III and Panzer IV. With a 12-cylinder diesel engine, it was also able to reach a maximum speed of 55 km / h. In terms of operational efficiency, the T-34 was considered the best tank of World War II.
