Original Information:
The GMC M12 self-propelled gun was used by the US Army during World War II. Built on the fuselage M3 Lee / Grant, which was originally mounted French 155mm gun GPF. The main weapon, ammunition and crew were placed in the back of the car with an open top. Only the driver's seat and the radio operator were protected. To alleviate the recoil force when using the cannon, the M-12 was equipped with a rear blade, which tilt down and leaned back.
