The RC chassis of the Traxxas X-Maxx is made of a composite molding, which is very rigid and at the same time light thanks to its spatial concept. As with other Traxxas RC cars, the chassis is modular, meaning it consists of a center, front and rear.
The modular design allows you to remove the entire front and rear. In a few minutes you have full access to easy service and setup of the model. The modularity of the car's chassis simplifies maintenance, it is easy to get to the differentials, etc. In addition, in very severe accidents you do not have to change the entire chassis of the model, but only the damaged part.
A revolutionary novelty is the new X-Maxx car body fastening system. The body is not fastened with clips, but with a special clip. This eliminates unsightly body holders, and removing the body is now a matter of seconds.
The massive X-Maxx GTX shock absorbers have piston rods with a diameter of 5.2 mm and are made of high-strength steel. The attachment of the shock absorbers to the arms and the tower is dual. All pins are made of steel with a diameter of 4 mm! Wheels with a diameter of over 20 cm are on a solid aluminum shaft. A well-dimensioned three-dimensional shock absorber tower enables driving even in very difficult terrain.
Of course, the X-Maxx is equipped with parallel (CV) half-axles, which are made of hardened steel. The wheel carriers are 24 mm hexagons, the wheel arches are secured against clearance by a clip. The differentials have four planetary gears, are sealed and filled with silicone oil. By changing the viscosity of the oil in the differentials, it is possible to change their tightness and thus the driving characteristics of the X-Maxx car model in the field. Basically, the differential is filled with oil with a viscosity of 60,000 cPs. Wheel shafts are made of aluminum. The X-Maxx 8S is equipped with a central differential and a flexible shock-limiting member.
The innovative Cush drive system uses a special part equipped with elastomeric silentblocks to absorb the engine's impact. The system replaces the friction clutch and enables a more efficient and reliable drive without complicated adjustments.
All drive parts are under covers, a novelty is the engine mounting system. The engine has such a high torque that it is bolted to the chassis with 4 screws. In order to be able to change the gear ratio, there are a number of holes in the chassis, so you only need to screw the engine bed into the correct holes.
For maximum efficiency and endless fun, the engine is equipped with a passive finned heatsink and dual fans.
The control is implemented using a robust, digital servo Traxxas - TRA2085. The maxi size servo has a torque of 26 kg.cm, speed 0.16 s / 60 °. Nylon gears. Traxxas Link App is a powerful application that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of the RC model Traxxas with stunning visualization and absolute accuracy of settings. Traxxas Link can display telemetry data that provides the model in real time, such as speed, rpm, temperature, battery voltage and model tilt. You can share RC model settings, you can create any number of profiles for a specific track or user, eg children. Everything in an application with brilliant graphics, which is a matter of course from Traxxas.

The exclusive controller with advanced electronics is equipped for real-time telemetry measurements. Using the wireless Bluetooth module (sold separately) and the Traxxas link app, it is possible to monitor speed, engine speed and battery voltage, directly in real time on your phone. The controller provides telemetry data and no additional sensors are required.
The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) system not only allows you to experience power, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speeds, but also guarantees much easier driving and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete or even ice and snow.
The receiver has a MEMS 3-axis gyro and an accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model about 100 times per second and corrects the direction of travel of the model by appropriate interventions in the steering of the front wheels. Traxxas TSM does not limit engine power - you have 100% control over engine power. The algorithms are tuned for each model separately. The level of assistance is set using the multifunction knob on the transmitter or in the Traxxas Link application / p>
The Self-righting function is activated remotely via a transmitter, by rapidly adding throttle and braking, the model gradually swings and turns back on the wheels.
The function is most efficient when using fully charged 4S LiPo batteries.

To put the model into operation, 4x AA batteries for the transmitter, 2x propulsion battery and charger for propulsion batteries are required.

By adding a Bluetooth module to the transmitter, you get the RC model's wireless connection function with the Traxxas Link application, which you can install on your phone free of charge. We recommend a phone holder to mount the phone to the transmitter.

A complete set of LED lighting will make your model a real gem. The lighting includes a front LED bumper strip, a rear multifunction brake strip, a power supply module and mounting accessories.
You can switch the LED lighting on / off and configure it using the Traxxas Link mobile application. The optional TRA6511 Bluetooth module is required to connect the Traxxas Link application. More information can be found here.
For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need screw glue, high-quality tire glue, silicone shock absorber oil and a set of screwdrivers. From our range we recommend an affordable set of tools for cars.
The screw glue drips the thread or the head of the screw, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving do not allow the screw connection to loosen. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with a reasonable torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it could be impossible to loosen a screw glued in this way at all!
The tire glue adheres the tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not stuck around the entire circumference, it may rupture. The tire adhesive has a special composition that is able to bond materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time the adhesive is flexible after hardening. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks in the tire would gradually form around the rims!
Occasionally it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers. During normal operation, there is only a slight leakage of silicone oil along the shock absorber piston rods. If the damper piston rod surface or seal condition is in poor condition, the oil leak may be large. So-called repair kits are supplied for these cases. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are supplied with all shock absorbers. TiN-coated piston rods are easily recognizable by their golden-green color.
