Original information:
After the invasion of the USSR, German armored personnel units faced Soviet tanks KV and T-34, which proved to be a very difficult opponent for most German tanks in 1941. And so on November 25, 1941, Daimler-Benz and MAN were ordered to develop a new tank in response to the Soviet T-34/76, which would use some of the Soviet machine design solutions. MAN completed the development of its prototype at the beginning of February 1942, and their production already underwent a "Panther" production between June and July 1942.
