Original information:
This tank came into official production in 1985 and was equipped with an improved 125 mm cannon, a 9K120 "Svir" rocket guidance system and a thicker armor on the cannon. In addition, the T-72B also received better protection in the form of 227 reactive armor-type Contact-1 (nearly half of which were placed on the tower).
