    Characteristics


    Arrma Vorteks Mega 550 1:10 RTR Truggy RC Car Model with 2WD Drive, Independent Suspension, Oil Shocks, Proportional Steering and DC Motor. As one of the most affordable RC cars in the 1:10 scale, it will especially appeal to novice drivers and children. Thanks to the full equipment, it is also suitable for more experienced riders. The model retains all the advantages of Arrma brand models such as durability, high performance and parts support.

    The Vorteks has a wide wheel track for stable handling. The low sports chassis allows for cornering at high speed. The model is suitable for hard surfaces, gravel and low grass. The composite chassis can withstand even hard impacts. The metal gears used are durable enough even for a possible upgrade to an AC drive. The special tread design of the new dBoots Dirtrunner ST front tires makes it easier to jump and turn on uneven surfaces.







    The Spektrum SLT transmitter provides safe operation without outages and for beginners it allows the option of limiting the power to 75% or 50%. For a carefree ride, the model uses waterproof* components - Spektrum 2-in-1 40A receiver regulator and high-torque Spektrum S660 servo control.

    Once you get better at driving, you can improve the model and get higher performance, for example by using a 2S LiPo battery or a complete upgrade to an AC drive. (Components for higher performance are not included in the package).

    Robust gearbox

    The transmission, with generously dimensioned metal gears, includes a differential that distributes power from the engine to the rear wheels. The gearbox is sufficiently dimensioned to withstand AC drive as well.

    The battery compartment on the underside of the chassis allows quick and easy battery replacement without having to remove the bodywork.

    Recommended batteries

    For regular riding and for children, we recommend purchasing an 8.4V (high) NiMH battery. For better acceleration and longer driving time, we recommend a 2S LiPo battery with an IC3 or EC3 connector.




    • For normal driving, Spektrum 8.4 V 3300 mAh NiMH battery with Smart technology.
    • For normal riding, the Robitronic 8.4 V 4000 mAh NiMH battery.

    • For better acceleration and longer driving time, Spektrum 7.4 V 5000 mAh LiPo battery with Smart technology, or Spektrum G2 7.4 V 5000 mAh with Smart G2 technology.


    Spektrum batteries with Smart technology currently represent the most modern and safest way to maintain and charge batteries. The benefits of Spektrum Smart technology can be found here.


    Smart G2 batteries are even simpler and safer, thanks to the absence of a balance connector. In addition, G2 batteries have up to 3x faster automatic discharge into storage mode. Smart G2 batteries can only be charged on Spektrum Smart and Smart G2 chargers.

    Accessories for normal operation

    For the normal operation of RC models, you need tire glue, screw glue, a tool kit and silicone shock oil. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range.



    Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer - see recommended accessories.



    Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the shock absorbers of the model and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. Repair kits or individual parts are supplied for these cases. From our range of silicone oils, we recommend TLR (Team Losi Racing) silicone oils, see recommended accessories.



    For routine maintenance, screw glue is needed. Screws screwed into the metal material (e.g. screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.

    Protective covers for accumulators

    Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for a long driving time. On the contrary, the LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage.
