Aluminum chassis

The chassis of the RC model consists of a light and durable aluminum plate with a thickness of 3.2 mm. Along the entire length, the edges are shaped to increase strength. Giant front and rear cross braces, attached at six points, provide increased resistance at the model's most exposed impact points, which are the chassis necks at the suspension. A patented T-shaped central reinforcement is used for overall connection and reinforcement. Like the chassis and center brace, the damper towers are aluminum with a beautiful blue anodized finish.

Powertrain

The extreme power of the engine is transmitted to the wheels via a sufficiently dimensioned drive train, which has been designed for a long service life. Solid steel gears and three metal-geared differentials transfer power to high-strength steel half-axles. Smooth-running parallel CV joints are used on the front axle. The center shafts are equipped with a sleeve that keeps the oil inside, so the joints are always lubricated.

Front, rear and center differential

The power distribution between the individual wheels is handled by three differentials with metal gears, which are stored in ball bearings. The center differential is filled with thick oil to provide adequate traction and distribute power evenly between the axles. The front and rear differentials use heavier steel gears that are 20% larger and 75% thicker than conventional types in this category.

GT-Maxx oil dampers

Four extra-large GT-Maxx shock absorbers effectively absorb even the hardest impacts. The oil-filled aluminum body of the shock absorbers is equipped with a thread and a nut for easy adjustment of spring preload. The shock absorber is equipped with double X-rings to prevent oil leakage around the piston rod.

Axles with robust bars

The Sledge features an all-new C-arm front suspension. The parts are large and robust while maintaining accurate geometry. The massive hardened steel suspension pins are secured with lock nuts for added security. You can easily change the suspension setting by re-screwing the connectors.

Engine bed

The new engine bed is cast from aluminum and provides engine support along its entire length. In addition, the bed effectively dissipates heat through the chassis and is equipped with an integrated fan holder. The fan can be purchased as a tuning part TRA3476.

SledgeHammer tires

The model uses 3.8" spoked wheels with 6.7" SledgeHammer tires that were inspired by motocross. High rigid pattern ensures long life and durability. These tires have an improved wheel connection system. Until now, these tires were available as a tuning part on Traxxas models. They are now already in the base for this model!

Accumulator bed

Changing the battery is easy and lightning fast, thanks to the snap-in partition. At the same time, the battery stays firmly in place even with the hardest impacts.

High off-road traction

The proven Sledgehammer tread pattern provides maximum traction on a variety of surfaces, especially rough terrain, gravel and grass.

Durability and stability

Sledgehammer ® tires feature a lightweight belt in the carcass that prevents bulging at high speeds for rock-solid confidence and stability.

Servo steering

The all-new, waterproof* Traxxas 2275 power steering has a whopping 25kg.cm of power. The servo is equipped with metal gears, two ball bearings for smooth operation and a metal center box for efficient cooling.

Powerful AC motor

The model is powered by a powerful 2000 rpm AC motor with a robust 5 mm shaft. The 4-pole design gives the motor smooth operation with smooth acceleration. For effective cooling even under high load, the motor is equipped with a metal body. Gold-plated connectors 6.5mm.

VXL-6S regulator

The RC car model is equipped with a VXL-6S AC controller. Regulator with 4S - 6S LiPo input voltage (max: 25.2 volts). Simple one-button setup. LED status indication. Heat dissipation using a massive cooler and fan. Water-resistant* construction. Gold-plated connectors 6.5mm. 2-stage low voltage detection of LiPol batteries, thermal protection and overvoltage protection.

Real-time telemetry

An exclusive controller with advanced electronics is equipped for real-time telemetry measurement. Using the wireless Bluetooth module (sold separately) and the Traxxas link app, it is possible to monitor speed, engine speed and battery voltage in real time on your phone. The controller provides telemetry data and no additional sensors are required.

Traxxas TQi RC kit with Bluetooth ready

Traxxas has completely prepared for you a new range of two-channel RC kits with Bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth module (sold separately) will allow you to connect the RC model with the clear graphic application Traxxas Link, which you can install for free on your smartphone.

The Traxxas Link app for Apple devices is available for free on the AppStore , the app for Google Android devices is free on GooglePlay .

The Traxxas Link App is a powerful application that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of your Traxxas RC model with stunning visualization and absolute accuracy of settings. Traxxas Link can display telemetry data that the model provides in real time, such as speed, RPM, temperature, battery voltage and model roll. (Telemetry provided varies by specific model type). You can share settings of RC models, you can create any number of profiles for a specific track or users, e.g. children. All in the app with the brilliant graphics that come naturally from Traxxas.

Telemetry options vary by model. It may be necessary to install telemetry sensors to obtain telemetry data. Compatible telemetry parts with this model can be found in the "Accessories - Telemetry" section. More information on telemetry installation here.

Traxxas TQi receiver

RC receiver Traxxas TQi 5 channel. TSM with telemetry for Traxxas TQi transmitters. Simple operation, pairing with a button. LED status indication. 3-axis MEMS sensors are integrated in the receiver for learning the position of the receiver.

The 5-channel receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connecting telemetry sensors RPM (revolutions) and V/T (voltage / temperature).

Furthermore, a telemetry expansion module can be connected to the 4-pin connector, into which you can connect up to 6 more sensors, including a very accurate GPS speed sensor.

Traxxas Stability Management

The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) stability system allows you to experience not only power, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speed, but also guarantees much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete or even ice and snow.

The receiver has a MEMS 3-axis gyro and an accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model on the order of 100 times per second and corrects the model's direction of travel by appropriate interventions in the steering of the front wheels. Traxxas TSM does not limit engine power - you have 100% control over engine power. Algorithms are tuned for each model separately. The level of assistance is set using the multi-function controller on the transmitter or possibly in the Traxxas Link application.

Protective elements of the body

When the model finds itself in somersaults, there are protective plastic elements on the body that protect the body from scratches or breakage. When the plastic parts wear out, you simply replace them.

Thrust wing

The rear wing provides high downforce so you have enough traction even at high speeds.

Body frame

The body is equipped with a frame from the inside, which serves as a reinforcement when the model is overturned

Wireless connection with the phone

By adding a Bluetooth module to the transmitter, you get the function of wireless connection of the RC model with the Traxxas Link application, which you can install on your phone for free. We recommend a phone holder for attaching the phone to the transmitter.

LED lighting

A complete set of LED lighting will make your model a real gem. The lighting includes two transparent white LED bars and a rear bar with fully functional brake and reversing LED lights. The power module allows you to switch between three modes.

You can also turn on/off and configure the LED lighting using the Traxxas Link mobile app. An optional Bluetooth module is required to connect the Traxxas Link app to Traxxas transmitters.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need bolt glue, good quality tire glue, silicone shock oil and a set of screwdrivers. We recommend an affordable set of tools for cars from our range.

The thread or head of the screw is dripped with screw glue, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving prevent the screw joint from loosening. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an adequate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it might be impossible to loosen a screw stuck like this!

Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the dampers of the model. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. So-called repair kits are supplied for these cases. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color.
