The RC car TRAXXAS Nitro Slash is a new feature in 2012. The powerful TRX 3.3 combustion engine is able to play a model of speed over 80 km / h. Another novelty is the new two-channel RC set in the 2.4 GHz band. The Nitro Slash comes in four licensed bodies that follow the look of real racing cars: Mark Jenkins (# 25 Traxxas), Rob MacCacharen (# 21 MOPAR), Chad Hord (# 9 BOSS Snowplow) and Robby Gordon (# 7 SPEED Energy).
The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) stabilization system allows you to experience not only performance, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speeds, but also ensures much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete or even ice and snow.
RC Nitro Slash is built on proven surround chassis. The lower part of the chassis is made of 2.5 mm thick blue anodized aluminum sheet. The motor is bolted to an adjustable CNC aluminum bed, which allows both longitudinal and transverse feed. The aluminum chassis also effectively dissipates heat through the aluminum bed from the internal combustion engine. When using a different gear ratio, you simply move the motor on the adjustable bed. The engine is equipped with a centrifugal clutch with a pinion. The chassis top is made of a spatial nylon molding filled with carbon fibers for greater rigidity and toughness. Boxes for electronics, servo beds and fuel tanks are placed on the nylon molding. Effective use of metal parts guarantees a lightweight and solid chassis construction.
The model has a driven rear axle. In the rear part there is a planetary differential from which the axles of the rear axles are output. Slash has adjustable rear wheel camber and front wheel camber and tilt. As part of the tuning, the car can be equipped with aluminum front and rear carriages, aluminum couplers, aluminum front wheel steering rods, tuned shock absorbers, metal CV shafts, and so on. Optionally, the Nitro Slash can be equipped with Big Bore large-volume aluminum silencers with TiN rods.
The car is equipped with a combustion engine of the middle class TRX 3.3 with a volume of 3.3 cm3. The engine is equipped with a two needle carburettor and a double air filter for easy adjustment. The recommended content of nitromethane in the fuel is from 10 to 35%. For normal operation, fuel from 16 to 25% nitromethane (16% for on-road, 25% for off-road riding) is recommended. Starting the engine is ensured by the electric starter EZ-Start. An electric motor is connected to the engine crankshaft via a one-way bearing and a gearbox. Electric motor outlets and glow plugs are routed to the bodywork connector. The EZ-Start controller, which includes a NiMH battery for driving the electric motor and the glow plug electronic stabilizer, is plugged into the connector. Starting the model can no longer be easier, just press the button. Optionally, the entire starter can be removed and the internal combustion engine can be started with a starter box that is adjacent to the flywheel.
Traxxas has prepared a completely new range of RC kits for RC car models. Originally it was possible to equip the RC transmitters with a docking station for Apple devices. Traxxas continues to develop and has prepared for you RC transmitter with slot for wireless BlueTooth module (module is run separately).
