Dune: War for Arrakis is a themed strategy board game centered on the events of the Desert War in the award-winning book Dune by Frank Herbert.
The cunning House Harkonnen, backed by the Imperial House Corrin, must fight the remnants of House Atreides, who have allied themselves with the native Fremen, for control of Arrakis and its most valuable resource: a spice called melange.

In this asymmetric game, House Harkonnen and their soldiers must take control of Arrakis, because if the spice stops flowing, they will lose the support of the powers within the Empire. Meanwhile, Paul Muad'Dib, a young Atreid leader and messiah, must lead the Fremen rebels and through his clairvoyant visions find a way to the fate of Arrakis, the inevitable jihad, and a future where he becomes Kwisatz Haderach. While the Harkonnens rely on their technology like ornithopters and carts, the Atreides have harnessed the power of the desert and ride giant sandworms into battle. Each faction uses a different strategy built around unique commanders and a set of planning cards to
