    UBEC 5 A is a switched-mode DC power supply stabilizer; powered by a 2-8S LiPo battery, it reduces the input voltage to a level suitable for powering receivers and on-board electronics of RC models, and stabilizes the output voltage at the set value (5.0 V, 6.0 V or 7.4 V). The load capacity of the UBEC is 5 A continuous, 15 A peak. This makes it especially suitable for model airplanes and smaller RC helicopters, but also multicopters, cars, ships, etc.

    • It uses an advanced DC step-down converter chip with current and thermal overload protection operating at close to 90% efficiency.
    • Small dimensions and light weight for easy use and installation.
    • 3 output voltages (selectable with a short-circuit jumper) suitable for all types of receivers, gyroscopes, servos, etc.
    • Indicator LED signaling the operating status of the UBEC.
    • Metal electronics cover and ferrite ring on the output cable to suppress electromagnetic radiation.

    Using UBEC

    Electric drive model with OPTO controller: connect the UBEC directly to the drive battery outputs and plug the UBEC output connector into the battery socket (or other free servo socket) on the receiver.

    Electric Drive Model with Built-in Power Stabilizer (BEC): Before connecting the UBEC, you must disconnect the red wire (+) in the controller servo cable to disable the built-in BEC. Otherwise, the connection of the UBEC is the same as in the case of the OPTO regulator.

    Combustion engine model or glider: connect the UBEC directly to the battery outputs and plug the UBEC output connector into the battery socket (or other free servo socket) on the receiver.

    Tip: To limit possible interference, place the UBEC in the model at a distance of at least 5 cm from the receiver.
