The next generation of HPI Racing drift models!
The Stage-D10 is an all-new, purpose-built 1:10 scale rear-wheel drive drift platform from HPI Racing that combines a great Ready-To-Run configuration with the huge range of tuning options that today's RC drifters demand.
The Stage-D10 was developed over a period of three years from the ground up and tested on a variety of surfaces by drivers ranging from RWD novices to experienced RC drifters. These tests helped refine the chassis, add new features and develop a factory setup that delivers great all-round performance right out of the box.
Under the hood, there are plenty of tuning options waiting to be explored.
And because it's an HPI brand, the first Stage-D10 RTR models come equipped with stunning, officially licensed 2024 Ford Mustang RTR Spec-5 FD bodies, including authentic Formula Drift paint jobs, plastic scale details, replica wheels and full LED lighting.
Stage-D10 Body Variants
Straight from the RTR Vehicles garage and Formula Drift paddock, three officially licensed versions of the model embody the cars of Vaughn Gittin Jr., James Dean and Ben Hobson.
Each version features its own authentic design with a fully factory-finished and pre-assembled five-piece polycarbonate body, complete with additional plastic parts for mirrors, vents, grilles and headlights.
Each Stage-D10 model comes with detailed instructions that show you exactly how to set up the magnetic body mounting system for the finished Mustang body, making installation quick and hassle-free. And best of all, there are no pillars protruding from the Mustang body!
Stage-D10 Chassis Variants
The Stage-D10 is a chassis designed specifically for modern RC drifting.
The factory settings give you a solid starting point without having to understand every setting before your first ride. As your driving skills improve, you have a wide range of setting options available to fine-tune the car's behavior.

Stage-D10 Creator Edition
The Stage-D10 Creator Edition is a fully assembled, ready-to-drive chassis that will provide you with the perfect foundation for your dream drift car. Simply add your choice of bodywork, wheels and electronics to create your own unique build.
The Creator Edition, the purest form of drift RC, is a blank canvas waiting for your finishing touches. Whether you want to replicate a favorite street machine, build a race-inspired drift car or create something completely original, the possibilities are endless.
Over 100 Engine Positions
The rear gearbox is where things get really interesting.
The Stage-D10 offers you over 100 possible engine positions, allowing for major changes in the center of gravity and weight distribution at the rear of the chassis.
The gearbox can also be configured for 3 or 4 gears (parts included) with the ability to change the direction of the engine orientation. Combine the transmission configurations with all of these engine positions and you have over 200 possible variations to experiment with.
The drivetrain uses an internal FDR 2.6 gear ratio and a sealed rear differential with composite gears.
Drift Ready
Adjustable camber links and toe-in options combine with multiple front and rear roll center and camber gain positions. The width of the hex-shaped wheel carriers can be increased by 1mm or 2mm, while the lower link offset allows the wheelbase to be adjusted from 246mm to 264mm.
The steering system features fully adjustable Ackermann geometry with fore, aft, up and down adjustments. There are also four servo mounting positions, giving you even more room to change your steering settings.
The "Shorty" batteries can be placed in the middle or rear position, allowing you to experiment with weight distribution and find a balance that suits your driving style.
If you're new to rear-wheel drive drifting, the factory settings will give you a great starting point. Get some track time, gain confidence, and see what the car can do. Then start experimenting.
Move the battery. Change the transmission position. Try different steering settings. Adjust the suspension. Change the wheelbase. For experienced drifters, all of these options are available right from the start.
Fully Adjustable Suspension
The Stage-D10 front suspension gives you a lot of control over how the front of the car reacts when drifting. Adjustable camber links, steering links, multiple roll center positions and camber gain allow you to fine-tune the geometry, while threaded oil coilover shocks allow for quick and easy changes to spring preload and ride height.
Adjustable toe-in options give you further control over the front suspension setup, with changing the width of the hex wheel carriers by 1mm or 2mm allowing for quick fine-tuning of the wheel track.
There are also mounting points for an optional front anti-roll bar, giving you further tuning options as you delve deeper into the Stage-D10 setup.
At the rear, the focus shifts to finding the balance and traction that suits your riding style. Adjustable camber links, selectable toe blocks, and multiple roll center and camber gain positions give you plenty of options to work with, supported by the same coilover-style oil-filled shocks, but with a slightly longer ball joint (+2mm) and stiffer spring than the front.
Optional pistons and different lower pin lengths for the shocks are included.
The rear suspension also benefits from one of the Stage-D10's most notable tuning features. With the ability to position the transmission and engine in a wide range of positions, plus the battery in the middle or rear, you can make significant changes to the weight distribution on the rear axle and then use the suspension geometry to fine-tune the resulting chassis behavior.
The chassis already has mounting points for an optional rear stabilizer, which offers experienced tuners another option to control the tilt of the rear end and the car's response.
Whichever setup you decide on, there's only one thing left to do... send it sideways!?
Required accessories for operation: 4x AA transmitter batteries, 2S LiPo shorty drive battery with a suitable charger.
