Installed Extreme Heavy Duty Kit

Factory-installed components of the Extreme Heavy Duty suspension and drivetrain kit are made from the most durable materials used by Traxxas. The front and rear control arms are reinforced and have a stronger construction.

Clipless Body

The unique body attachment system using beaks in the wheel arches allows for quick and easy battery replacement and the clean look of the model is not disturbed by clips. Robust latches hold the body firmly no matter how rough the ride. In addition, the body is attached to the frame over a larger area and there is no risk of it cracking.

Chassis

The rigidity of the chassis is ensured by the proven construction of fiber-filled nylon. Thanks to this, the model is light, excellently maneuverable and at the same time resistant to impact. The long wheelbase and higher ground clearance ensure stability and good cross-country ability. Integrated side stiffeners help absorb energy in the event of a side impact.

Oil shock absorbers

High-travel oil shock absorbers use dual X-rings for perfect sealing and perfect operation. The robust design combined with a high oil volume can absorb even hard impacts in difficult terrain. You can tune the shock absorbers to your liking by adjusting the springs and changing the oil viscosity.

The race-tuned progressive springs are densely wound on the edges and sparsely in the center. The springs compress easily and maintain wheel contact with the surface over small bumps, while the thicker part of the shock absorber comes into play during a hard impact.

Transmission, adjustable disc clutch and planetary differential

The transmission, disc clutch and planetary differential are enclosed in one compact unit. The transmission with a friction clutch reliably transmits engine power to the axles, the planetary differential gear of the Magnum 272™ has gears made of hardened steel. This system requires absolutely minimal maintenance. Pinions and gears with different numbers of teeth are available, so you can fine-tune your model for both speed and technical tracks.

Friction clutch

The Revo Spec Torque Control friction clutch ensures smooth power transfer and is adjustable. A correctly set slip ratio protects the drivetrain without reducing the model's acceleration.

Precision steering

The front wheel steering mechanism is implemented using the Bell-Crank system, which ensures precise operation of the linkages to the wheels. The steering has an integrated servo-saver that absorbs shocks and protects the servo against overload.

Adjustable suspension links

Adjustable steel suspension links allow for individual tuning of the suspension geometry and thus changing the driving characteristics for specific conditions. The model thus offers amazing variability!

Split-Spoke Wheels

The model is equipped with SCT Split-Spoke wheels with an imitation Beadlock ring with a diameter of 2.2/3” and BFGoodrich® Mud-Terrain™ T/A® tires with excellent grip. The carrier is a 12 mm hexagon.

Steering servo

The Traxxas 2075 high-torque waterproof digital servo with a DC motor and nylon gears has a torque of 9.0 kg.cm and a speed of 0.17 s/60°@ 6.0 V. For water resistance*, the servo box and output milled shaft are fitted with a seal. Two ball bearings provide very smooth operation.

Powerful Titan 12T motor

The car model is equipped with a modified Titan 550 12T DC motor. The motor has 30% more power than conventional 540 motors. The rotor at the rear of the motor contains a propeller that blows air into the motor and effectively cools it.

Traxxas XL 5 Electronic Controller

Waterproof* Traxxas XL-5 electronic controller with three driving modes, support for modern high-capacity LiPo batteries and easy control with the EZ-Set™ button. The XL-5 controller is equipped with a training mode that limits full throttle to 50%. Thanks to this, novice drivers or children can gradually familiarize themselves with the model's features and prepare for the full power of the car. Thermal protection, gold-plated connectors and incredibly low internal resistance are the hallmarks of this controller.

Traxxas TQ RC kit

The model is controlled by a two-channel proportional steering wheel RC transmitter Traxxas TQ, operating in the 2.4 GHz band - interference-free operation. The transmitter is powered by only 4 AA batteries.

There is a rotary knob on the transmitter that trims the steering (so that the model drives straight when the steering wheel is in the center position). The battery status in the transmitter is indicated by an LED. The transmitter can be set to reverse on the throttle and steering channels.

TQ receiver

The three-channel Traxxas TQ 2.4 GHz receiver ensures safe control without interruptions. Easy pairing with one button. Status indication using an LED diode.

USB-C charger

The package includes a NiMH battery and a modern fully automatic 40W USB-C charger. The charger allows you to charge 6 to 7 cell NiMH batteries with a charging current of up to 4 A.

The USB-C charger can be powered by any USB adapter and connected with a USB-C cable. However, for full charging performance, it is necessary to choose appropriate components, see. recommended accessories.

Recommended power supply for the USB-C charger

Powering the USB-C charger from the mains requires a USB adapter and a USB-C cable for connection (adapter and cable are not included in the package). To use maximum charging power, it is necessary to choose sufficiently dimensioned components. We recommend:

Recommended replacement batteries

To extend the driving time, we recommend purchasing an additional battery. For regular driving and for children, we recommend purchasing another identical NiMH battery, which is included in the package. For maximum driving time and higher performance, you can use modern LiPo batteries. If you use different types of batteries, it is always necessary to set the type of connected battery on the controller!

The high-brightness diodes are not only effective, but also provide a strong stream of light. The lighting also provides a better overview of the model's position.

Transport bag and backpack

Carry your RC model comfortably and safely in a Traxxas sports bag or backpack. In addition to the main large pocket for the model, there are specially designed side pockets for batteries, charger, tools, etc.

Stand

The aluminum rotating stand will be the perfect addition to your service table or display shelf. The stand makes model maintenance easier and prevents tires from deforming (sag) during long-term storage.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need screw glue, high-quality tire glue, silicone oil for shock absorbers and a set of screwdrivers. From our range, we recommend an affordable set of car tools.

The screw glue is dripped onto the thread or head of the screw, which fixes it and prevents vibrations caused by driving from loosening the screw joint. The screw glue has a special composition that allows easy loosening of the screw joint with an appropriate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary super glue, a screw glued in this way may be impossible to loosen at all!

Tire glue is used to glue tires to the rim of the wheel. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, the glue is flexible after hardening. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers. During normal operation, only slight leaks of silicone oil occur along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage can be large. So-called repair kits are available for these cases. The tuning parts range includes piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating for all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN coating are easily recognizable by their golden-green color.
