The very successful racing conversion of the legendary P-51D Mustang for Frank Taylor's Dago Red pylons was created in the early 1980s and collected a number of world records and 6 victories in the National Championship Air Races.
Semi-scale racing aircraft made of almost unbreakable EPO powered by a powerful AC electric motor C3948-KV900 powered by a four-cell LiPo battery for experienced pilots who like smaller but damn fast and agile models.
The fuselage of the EPO foam model is supplied with a mounted AC motor with a rotating casing (C3548-KV900) with a model five-bladed propeller 10x8.5 ", equipped with an 80 A AC regulator with a powerful SBEC switching stabilizer, Reflex V2 stabilization unit and rudder and elevator servos Easy access to the propulsion battery and on-board electronics is guaranteed by the removable upper fuselage with the cab cover.
The wing with a semi-symmetrical profile made of EPO foam is one-piece; it is fastened to the fuselage with screws. The ailerons and flaps are controlled by two pairs of servos mounted in the wing with short wire rods. Before connecting the tie rods, we recommend "moving" the rudders by repeated careful deflection up and down resp. left and right.
The tail surfaces are made of EPO, the rudder and elevator are controlled by servos stored in the cabin using cable ducts.
The chassis is two-wheel electrically retractable with foam wheels.
For the model you will need a LiPo four-cell 2600 mAh with a load capacity of at least 35C.
To control the model, you will need at least a seven-channel RC kit, the advantage will of course be the owners of multi-channel computer sets that allow individual adjustment and tuning of the aileron, flap and chassis servos. The ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevator, engine speed and landing gear are controlled. Piloting is facilitated by the installed Reflex V2 stabilization unit.
The ARF set includes: an almost finished model with an AC motor, propeller, 80A speed controller, Reflex V2 stabilization unit, 6 servos and an electric retractable chassis, a set of accessories and instructions.
