The code name "Akula" was given in NATO documents by the Soviet-class Skuka-B nuclear attack submarines, which entered service since 1986. Its equipment consists of torpedoes and missiles of various types launched from four torpedo tubes 533 mm and four 650 mm at the bow. The typical "bullet" on the top of the rudder conceals a disembarked trailer sonar sensor to cover the usual weakness behind the sole of the submarine where the sonar is otherwise disturbed by the noise of its own propeller. Submarines of the Akula class are considered to be the quietest and therefore the most dangerous Russian offensive submarine at all.
Compact submarine submarine kit for electric motor 500/600 series for advanced builders. The model is designed for a dynamic dive - that is, the vessel is imported by a ballast so that only the upper part of the hull with the tower protrudes above the water level - just like a real submarine. Unlike a real submarine, the model does not have a flooding ballast tank, which would be submerged (or when it was emptied again). Immersion is achieved when driving forward or reversing thanks to the adjustment of deep rudders. The advantage is that in the event of a power failure, the model will automatically emerge, with the disadvantage that the submarine can only remain submerged when it is in motion.
Thanks to the preprocessing of most parts, the construction is not particularly demanding for skill and workshop equipment - but, of course, careful, patient and, above all, flawless work is needed in submarine construction to achieve a good result. For bonding you will need a medium second adhesive, epoxy and glue for sticking plastic models. The actual construction is based on a three-story drawing in real size, capturing the exterior appearance of the submarine and another capturing internal layout. The individual construction steps are executed according to perspective drawings showing in detail the construction of the given part of the ship, the selected key steps and the making of accessories make the pre-printed 1: 1 template easier." For the finishing color finishing, the subcoat sizes will suit acrylic colors for plastic kits due to the small dimensions of the submarine.
The hull consists of a two-part thick-walled vacuum molding made of plastic (compact polystyrene) with internal reinforcements of the same material. Access to the pressurized watertight fuselage allows a removable hatch to which the tower of submarines from vacuum-molded plastic parts is attached.
Machete accessories are made up of brass and plastic parts. If you have plenty of persistence and perseverance, you can make a rigorous refinement of the tower with periscope and antennas etc. It is up to you how you care about your work ...
The 500/600 6-volt electric motor is powered by a six-cell NiMH or NiCd battery (suitable for example six-element for RC 1:10). Shaft with housing and cardan coupling is part of the kit. For long cruises when using large capacity batteries, we recommend refilling the water cooling of the engine.
All four-channel 40 MHz radio sets (radio waves at 2.4 GHz with water do not penetrate), two-way electronic speed controller of at least 30A, one standard rudder servo and others for deep rudders are enough to control the ship.
The kit includes: vacuum moldings of the fuselage, inner bulkheads and towers, pre-cut plastic rudders and hull cover, plastic sticks, cast metal parts and other maker accessories, ship shaft with case, MS self-adhesive, 1: 1 scale drawing, .
