The XLPOWER Stratos 200 in a three-blade design is a small electric RC helicopter for pilots who want strong main rotor reach and a unique three-blade head. The third blade increases the total blade area compared to a two-blade configuration. The model thus expands the capabilities of the Stratos 200 platform and offers another way to agile 3D flying in compact dimensions.
The three-blade head uses 1:1 control geometry, which creates a direct mechanical relationship between the movement of the swashplate and change in the angle of attack of the blades. The set includes three Azure Power carbon main blades with a length of 195 mm and a 45 mm trim rotor blade. When setting up your own paddleless unit, you need to take into account the three-blade configuration and the manufacturer's recommendations.
Direct drive without main gear transmission keeps the mechanics simple and eliminates gear wheel engagement adjustment. The integrated system with the Hobbywing V5 controller is complemented by HV DS4208 servos with metal housings. The platform supports 4S LiPo drive; the manufacturer lists a 4S 650 mAh battery with XT30. The battery compartment allows you to adapt the storage to a suitable package.
A practical detail is the plug-in tail beam and the contact connection of the tail motor without the need for soldering when replacing. Replaceable carrier arms facilitate repairs after a crash; the kit also includes spare arms and rods. To complete the model, it is necessary to add a compatible paddleless unit with tail motor control support, a receiver and a drive battery.
