At the beginning of the middle of 1943, 91 u-boots of type VII C / 41 were launched. Until then, the conditions of the war were completely different. "Wolfpack Tactics" has rarely achieved positive results against better protected convoys, especially with the introduction of airborne umbrellas. In order to better defeat the emergence, the VII C / 41 boats were equipped with a modified, larger bridge called the "Big Winter Garden," armored by two 20mm flakzwilling and one 37mm M42U flakkanone, which are accurately reproduced in the set. The swivel air suction line of the submarine (also swivel in the kit) for fresh air and exhaust fumes and four pressure boats with floats for 4 men were also typical of these boats. Using better steel sheets allowed a maximum dive of 250 meters. The model also includes new parts for wooden decking with engraved pressure boxes and an "Atlantic" bow. The beautifully detailed hull shows rivets and welds. Other U-boots can be reproduced with decals: U 292, U 318, U 998 and U 1004.
