AXI 2220/16 V2 LONG AC motor

The new generation of AXI V2 motors has higher performance thanks to its sophisticated design, which in combination with the integrated cooling system based on the turbine effect of air flow keeps the motor winding up to 20% cooler. The special "Long" version is equipped with an extended conical front face for easy mounting in the fuselages of a small bow diameter.

The robust and reliable high-performance AXI 2220 / xx V2 AC motors with rotating housing and neodymium magnets have a hardened shaft with a diameter of 5 mm mounted in two ball bearings, which ensure very good mechanical stability during normal and reverse mounting. The rotors of the AXI 2220 / xx V2 series motors are balanced on a state-of-the-art dynamic balancing device from the renowned Schenck company. High-quality Japanese bearings, supplied with V2 series motors, are characterized by longer service life and quiet operation.

Thanks to their high torque, the AXI 2220 / xx V2 series motors are suitable for direct drive of large propellers without the need for a gearbox, which ensures very good efficiency of the entire drive.

AXI 2220/12 V2 Long is an AC motor designed to drive smaller models with a flight weight of up to 1300 g and powered by a two-cell or three-cell Li-poly battery. Great for models such as the Multiplex Easy Glider, our Robin II and similar light motor gliders - generally slower models where larger diameter propellers with lower speeds are more suitable.

Engine mounting: AXI 2220/12 V2 Long is primarily designed for front mounting, but after purchasing the appropriate set it can also be used in rear mounting. When front mounting behind the front of the engine, use four M3 bolts that extend into the front of the engine by 4-5 mm. The engine bulkhead should be made of 3 mm plywood.
