    Template information:

Undoubtedly one of the most sought-after motorcycles in history, this rare 1928 Harley-Davidson JDH "Two-Cam" was the first Hot Rod company roadster with true racing pedigree. Shortly after Harley-Davidson officially entered professional motorcycling in 1914, the architect of the company's factory racing program, Bill Ottaway, introduced the team's first overhead valve engine. The 1916 FHAC OHV factory racer made its debut in the prestigious Dodge City 300 that year and featured a 61 CI (1000 cc) V-engine with eight overhead valves. The new factory race machines were dominant and were raced by legends such as Otto Walker, Ray Weishaar, Joe Wolters, Jim Davis and Freddy Ludlow, members of the legendary Harley-Davidson Wrecking Crew.

When the sport resumed after World War I in 1919, Ottaway improved its eight-valve design with a new twin-cam lower section that became known as the "Banjo Two-Cam". With this twin-cam engine, Harley-Davidson's Wrecking Crew set new speed records and finished the 1921 season as winners of all national races. Seven years later, the cutting-edge technology developed for the iconic Wrecking Crew found its way into the company's production roadsters. The 1928 Harley-Davidson JDH, simply called the "Two-Cam" by enthusiasts and collectors, brought racing engines to the streets.
