The Cagiva Elephant, an enduro motorcycle, came on the market in the early 1980s. After the merger of the Cagiva and Ducati brands, the model line was further expanded. The Cagiva Elefant 850, which took part in the famous Paris-Dakar Rally in 1987, was characterized by a large bonnet that practically completely covered the lattice frame. The air-cooled two-cylinder engine provided a maximum output of 80 horsepower. The maximum speed of the racing special was 185 km / h.
