The Spektrum Smart Avian 200A regulator for 6S - 14S LiPol power supply is suitable for large models of airplanes and helicopters. Thanks to Smart technology, it offers a perfect overview of the state of your drive unit, with real-time telemetry for current, temperature, total battery voltage, voltage of individual battery cells, battery temperature, remaining capacity and engine speed . And without additional sensors! Smart technology ensures that all of your model aircraft's electronics work together seamlessly for maximum efficiency and performance. It offers information on the status of each system component, increasing your confidence in its capabilities and making the entire drive system easy to use. The Smart system consists of a compatible Spektrum transmitter, a Smart receiver, a Smart controller, or a Smart battery.

    The controller is controlled by a modern 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 microcontroller. The Smart battery controller reads information about the type, temperature and voltage of the cells directly from the battery via the data cable. So you no longer need any sensors or modules, everything is simply put together. The information will be displayed on the transmitter display (it is necessary to have a Spektrum 2nd generation transmitter (Spectrum series DX G2, NX and iX).



    Data transfer over one wire

    An amazing innovation for transmitting system telemetry data when using a Spektrum Smart battery (speed, temperature, battery voltage and remaining capacity) is the absence of telemetry sensors. Data from the accumulator is read via the data wire. Data is transmitted to the receiver via the SRXL2 protocol. Of course, Spektrum Avian controllers are backward compatible with the classic PWM signal, so you can also operate the controller on the classic PWM output.

    IC/EC connector compatibility

    The controllers are equipped with battery connectors of the IC series. When used with a Spektrum Smart battery equipped with an IC3 or IC5 connector, the controller can receive and transmit battery telemetry data. Connectors EC3 and EC5 are backward compatible with connectors IC3 and IC5, but you will lose the ability to load data from the accumulator.

    When using a controller with a Spektrum Smart battery, the automation controller reads all data from the battery. The display of the Spektrum transmitter will show you useful information such as the number of cycles, the remaining battery capacity, the voltage of individual cells.

    Easy installation of the regulator

    The Avian 200A regulator is in a plastic box with feet, you can either screw the regulator into the model, or you can stick it with double-sided adhesive tape. On the top is an aluminum heatsink with a fan.

    Wide programming options

    Thanks to many adjustable parameters, you can adjust the behavior of the controller according to your requirements. Avian controllers can be programmed in the following ways:



    • Using a programming card (order no. SPMXCA200).
    • Using the Spektrum 2nd generation transmitter (it is necessary to have sufficiently new firmware in the transmitter and to have a controller connected to the receiver supporting the Spektrum SRXL2 protocol).
    • Using a computer and the Spektrum Smart Link app (the controller connects to the computer via the SPMXCA200 programming card. The app also allows you to update the controller's firmware.
