    Spektrum smart batteries respond to modern recent trends. Smart batteries containing electronics that ensure safe and especially easy use. The integrated electronics in the battery constantly evaluates the voltage of the individual cells of the battery and the temperature of the entire battery, optimizing the charge of the individual cells to achieve the shortest possible charging time.

    • Thanks to the possibility of automatic discharge to the storage voltage, the service life of the battery is significantly extended .
    • Optimal cell alignment means up to 25% less charging time .
    • Records the number of charge and discharge cycles. You have an overview of how many cycles each cycle has.
    • It detects dangerous conditions - too high and low cell voltage, high temperature.
    • When using Smart Chargers, the optimal charging process is automatically set. In addition, it is not necessary to connect a service connector to the charger.
    • Full compatibility with conventional chargers is ensured. You can charge the smart battery with your charger without any worries.

    With the Spektrum XBC100 tester, you can easily find out all the necessary parameters of the battery and you can also activate the automatic discharge of the battery.

    Easy and safe charging of the Smart battery

    If you connect the Smart LiPo battery to the Smart charger, the charger reads all the necessary parameters (battery type, number of cells, capacity, charging current) directly from the battery. Charging has never been easier!

    New IC3 and IC5 connectors

    The new IC3 and IC5 connectors have a modern design with an emphasis on safety and simplicity . The contacts are formed by gold-plated pins and sockets (in the case of an IC3 connector with a diameter of 3.5 mm, in the case of an IC5 connector with a diameter of 5 mm). The connector is also equipped with a data cable for communication with the charger. When using Smart chargers, there is no need to connect a balance connector. IC3 connectors, resp. IC5 is backward compatible with connector EC3, resp. EC5.

    As already mentioned, the connectors have been designed with an emphasis on safe and easy use. The connectors cannot be reversed in polarity, the contacts and soldered connections are covered with a plastic cover.

    To be able to charge the batteries with conventional chargers, the standard service (balance) connector JST-XH is led out of the battery.

    Automatic commissioning of the battery

    Keeping the battery in a fully charged state for a long time degrades its properties - this is reflected in the softening / inflation of the cells. Therefore, Spektrum Smart batteries contain a circuit which, after a set time, slowly discharges the battery to the so-called storage voltage. The time can be set using chargers from 12 to 240 hours.

    This unique feature significantly extends battery life and provides better performance for the life of the kit.
