Blue nitro varnish for stretching covering papers and canvas resistant to burning fuel and gasoline. For application by brush, roller or spray.
Application: Thin the lacquer as needed with KAVAN STANDARD thinner; apply to the coating with a soft flat brush (best), roller or spray. Apply 2-5 layers; always let the coating dry for at least 24 hours and sand with fine sandpaper 600-1000. When used on a model with an internal combustion engine, it is not necessary to apply an additional fuel-resistant topcoat, but one or two layers of elastic polyurethane varnish KAV56.9990 KAVAN topcoat POLY will significantly increase resistance to mechanical damage.
Removing excess undried varnish: A cloth or paper napkin moistened with KAVAN STANDARD Thinner.
Lacquer dilution: Lacquer is supplied in a concentrated form, depending on the need and method of application, it can be diluted with KAVAN STANDARD thinner in any ratio to achieve the optimal consistency for application.
Mixing the varnish: The varnish can be mixed in any ratio with the KAVAN STANDARD or COLOR stretching varnishes. Due to the different composition, we do not recommend mixing with varnishes and thinners of the KAVAN CLASSIC series.
Suitable for: modeling covering papers and textiles, e.g. fleece, covering canvas.
Not suitable for: materials not resistant to organic solvents (foamed polystyrene, etc.).
Addition of model weight: 10 ml of undiluted varnish adds about 1.5 g to the weight of the model.
Storage: In tightly closed packaging, in a cool, dry and dark place (at a temperature of 15°C to 25°C). Do not expose to temperatures below 5°C and in no case to frost.
Durability: If the conditions of proper storage are observed, we guarantee a shelf life in the original, unopened package for 1 year while maintaining the above-mentioned product properties.
