The AC 4-pole sensor motor Castle Creations 1410 3800 rpm / V with a 5 mm shaft for RC car models 1:10 2WD / 4WD belongs to the latest series of motors from Castle Creations. Speed 3800 rpm / V, power supply 2 LiPo, high efficiency, sensor design.

Recommended use of the motor in conjunction with the Sidewinder 4 controller.

Construction of AC motors 1410

Castle introduces a completely new range of sensor motors. The advantage is especially high efficiency and, when using a sensor controller, a gentle advantage from zero speed . Sensor motors can therefore also be recommended for slow-moving models, such as crawlers or expedition RC car models.

The stator (fixed outer part of the motor) is composed of mutually insulated iron sheets 0.2 mm thick. The stator winding is impregnated against moisture and is defined by a special potting compound. The winding terminals are made of solid strips, to which you can solder the terminals in the optimal direction - depending on the model.

The rotor (rotating inner part of the motor) is made of a hardened steel shaft in which neodymium magnets are glued. To increase strength, the rotor is braided with Kevlar fabric and a two-component adhesive. Another set of 4 magnets is used to measure the rotor position. The rotor is defined between the bearings by a ring-shaped leaf spring.

The aluminum fronts have high-quality ball bearings, the rear face is fitted with Hall sensors sensing the rotor position and a temperature sensor for measuring the internal temperature of the engine.

Castle Creation Sidewinder 4 controller features revolutionary Cryo-Drive technology. Of course, there is a waterproof construction, sensorless design for maximum ease of operation and, of course, a wide range of settings, as is common with Castle Creations products.

Cryo-Drive technology

The biggest losses occur during switching on and off of the power transistors. Castle Creations has developed completely new software that reduces the switching frequency of power transistors. The result is a radical reduction in heat loss in both the controller and the motor itself, increased efficiency and, ultimately, longer travel times.

Another novelty is the optimization of the radiator shape. Using programs that simulate airflow, Castle Creations developers have created a whole new ribbing boil that efficiently transfers heat to the airflow. Thanks to this, they managed to reduce the size of the entire controller and use a standard 30 mm heatsink. The Sidewinder 4 controller is very similar in size to the popular Castle Sidewinder 3 controller series.
