    During the Battle of Kurska in the summer of 1943 Soviet Army infantry was technically much less equipped than the German Wehrmacht, but the Russian soldiers compensated for this lack of courage. The long tradition of the Russian army was to continue to fulfill the war orders even after the loss of all commanding officers. It has helped the Russians to win a series of battles.
