The Smart Corner Weight System SCWS2000 is designed for racing riders, who can easily measure the weight distribution of the RC car and optimize the load on the individual axles and wheels to achieve maximum model performance. SCWS can be used for 1:12, 1:10 and 1: 8 scale cars that do not have a load per wheel greater than 2 kg.
SCWS makes it possible to achieve an accurate and optimal weight distribution of the car, which is critical for success on the track. The front and rear axles as well as the individual wheels can carry different proportions of the car's weight. An imbalance can lead to different car behavior when turning left and right. The weight distribution also affects the stability of the car. A well-balanced car is generally easier to drive and able to drive faster due to greater stability.
For accurate measurement, SCWS uses a system of 4 digital scales with each other and with a smartphone application (with Android and iOS operating systems) connected via Bluetoth 5.0. It not only indicates the load on the individual wheels, but also calculates the front and rear axle loads, the diagonal wheel loads (left front + right rear and right front + left rear) and the total weight. This will help you become a real expert in setting up the chassis. The application also provides Bluetooth connection of scales for individual wheels, assignment of their position, calibration and tare.
Ideally, 50% of the car's weight should be on the left front + right rear wheel and 50% on the right front and left rear wheel. If the diagonal load is not the same, the car's cornering behavior will be unequal - in one direction the model will turn more willingly than in the other (assuming all other settings are balanced, directionally neutral).
The SCWS consists of four scales (each weighing capacity is max. 2000 g) with a stainless steel weighing surface. The load can be displayed in grams (g) or ounces (oz) with a resolution of 0.1 g (0.01 oz).
It is powered by 3 V CR2450 button batteries, which allow up to 30 hours of operation.
If necessary, the scales can also be calibrated with 2 kg weights.
