Metal chassis frame

The chassis consists of two C-shaped steel profiles connected by plastic crossbars, ensuring a rigid structure that minimizes torsion. Heavier components, such as the battery and motor, are placed on the bottom of the chassis to maintain a low center of gravity.

Trial suspension

The TRX-4M uses a sophisticated 4-point solid axle suspension with robust links and ball-jointed ends.

4x4 drive

The 4x4 drive is implemented via fixed differentials. For extremely smooth operation, there are CV joints on the front axle.

Telescopic shafts

Telescopic center drive shafts allow full suspension travel and are also equipped with constant velocity CV joints.

Turning angle 45°

The 45° front wheel steering angle gives the model an exceptionally small turning radius and high maneuverability, suitable for indoor driving or trial driving over obstacles. Compared to other models of this size, the TRX-4M has a turning radius that is up to 50% smaller.

GTM oil shock absorbers

The TRX-4M is equipped with GTM oil-filled shock absorbers for a smooth ride and realistic handling without. The shock absorbers absorb shocks and the ride is beautifully smooth without bouncing.

Easy battery removal

The clever system of securing the battery in the bulkhead using a rubber band is a small detail, but it makes changing the battery much easier and faster. The rubber band also holds the battery firmly in place.

Off-road wheels and tires

The 1" wheel and tire design is taken from the larger TRX models, but even with the smaller dimensions, the high level of detail is maintained. The tires with foam insert and soft compound provide high traction. The carrier is a 7 mm hex.

Power steering

Digital nano servo Traxxas servo 2065T with DC motor. The servo has a torque of 2.5 kg.cm and a speed of 0.20 s/60°@ 6.0 V. The servo box is equipped with a seal for water resistance*. The gears are nylon and the main gear wheel is metal for high durability.

Powerful engine

The Titan 180 87T DC motor provides a wide range of speeds from low rpm for technical riding to higher speeds for crossings. The fixed inter-tooth clearance is precisely defined and does not require adjustment.

Control unit

The new ECM-2.5 control unit integrates the controller with the receiver. The electronics are protected in a waterproof* case. The functions included are: LVD – protection against underdischarge of the LiPo battery, easy one-button EZ-Set setup and 3 special driving modes.

Power supply max. 2S LiPo. Powerful BEC with 6 V voltage for servo. Precise and reliable control at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. The unit is ready for connecting ProScale lighting. Can be paired with TQi transmitters - just basic settings.

Traxxas TQ RC kit

The model is controlled by a Traxxas TQ two-channel proportional steering wheel RC transmitter, operating in the 2.4 GHz band - interference-free operation. The transmitter is powered by only 4 AA batteries.

There is a rotary knob on the transmitter that trims the steering (so that the model drives straight when the steering wheel is in the center position). The battery status in the transmitter is indicated by an LED. The transmitter can be set to reverse on the throttle and steering channels.

Battery

The included 2S LiPo 750 mAh battery provides powerful power for up to 1 hour of operation. A specially designed connector plugs directly into the controller.

USB charger

A USB charger is included for convenient charging. The specially designed ID connector is safe and prevents incorrect connection. The charging status is displayed by an LED on the charger.
Although the charger can be powered from any USB-A output, for fast charging with a current of up to 2A, it is necessary to have a sufficiently powerful USB source, see recommended purchase

LED strips

Equip the model with a lighting kit for the TRX-4M, which includes a roof LED strip and a front grille LED strip.

Individual lighting can be installed separately or combined.

Portal axles

Tuning portal axles increase off-road capabilities by raising the axles. Installing portal axles raises the center ground clearance by more than 10 mm for unparalleled off-road capability.

Two-speed gearbox

The tuned two-speed transmission increases off-road capability and versatility by adding a lower gear for slow obstacle crossing. Manually, you can use the lever on the transmission to switch between a higher gear for the model's standard speed and a lower gear for slow speed suitable for technical obstacle crossing.

The gearbox can also be controlled remotely. For remote-controlled gear shifting, it is necessary to additionally install a gear shift servo, have an AC drive with an ECM unit installed in the model, which contains a free third channel, and the model must be controlled with at least a 3-channel TQ or TQi transmitter. AC drive

The Long Arm Lift Kit for the Traxxas TRX-4M RC car model will increase the ground clearance of the model, for better off-road capability and a more aggressive look for the High Trail versions.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of your Traxxas RC car, you need screw glue, quality tire glue, silicone shock absorber oil and a set of screwdrivers. We recommend an affordable car tool set from our range.

Screw glue is applied to the thread or head of the screw, which fixes it and prevents the vibrations caused by driving from loosening the screw connection. Screw glue has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an appropriate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary superglue, a screw glued in this way may be impossible to loosen at all!

Tire glue is used to glue tires to the rim of the wheel. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon and at the same time the glue is flexible after hardening. Never use ordinary superglue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers. During normal operation, only slight silicone oil leaks occur along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leak can be large. So-called repair kits are available for these cases. The tuning parts offer includes piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating for all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN coating can be easily recognized by their golden-green color.
